Complex but answerable question. I need others input on how to make a holographic sight with a model that can only be seen if you are looking through the sight. In other words, a REAL holographic sight. In more detail, a holographic sight is called holographic because it uses light reflected through glass to create a hologram that can be used for aim, but what is the point if it is 2D? A 2D holographic sight is just a glorified version of only 1 ironsight. You can't aim with it. Holographic sights are 3 dimensional, but can only be seen through the glass due to the way the glass projects the light.
Please, DO NOT tell me this isn't possible, because it is. I will say it again, don't tell me it is impossible. If you have nothing helpful to say, say nothing. Thank you. |

| I don't know how to do it, but I've seen something like it somewhere! I wish you luck on finding out how to make it! |

Just a quick addition, the method explained in my post is about a model that can only be seen through the sight, but I am looking for any way at all to do this.
Escape from Tarkov did it. I am sure many others have as well. |

Specifically what you want, simply isn't possible.
This isn't real life. The physics are not realistic, light isn't even related to the physics. |

... Do not tell me this is not possible. Only ignorant or lazy people would take the time to tell me that this isn't possible. It is computer programming, and we have the resources. This is possible. If you have nothing helpful to say, say nothing. |

Now, if you actually knew what you were talking about, that would mean something.
But you don't. And you are not gonna get anywhere in life if you always shoot the messenger with bad news. |

| Don't be a moron. I know exactly what I am talking about, and you don't. Therefor ### ### ####### in this conversation. BTW, the quality you are describing is called persistence, and that is actually what does get people far in life, kid. Idiot. Do not respond to this, you are wasting my time and I couldn't care less about what you have to say. |

you could actually do this many different ways, if you're talking about lazersight on a gun then just add rays at the end of rays and have each one faded and use look.vector with cframe and/or unit whatever is best for you
or if you're talking about the sight on a gun then just have a decal appear for the one player only or, if you want it to show up when only aiming, have the aiming key or whatever enum key you're talking about pressed wait until the animation is fully finished and then have the decal show up
This is siggy. he does not like people. he will bite |

| Maybe it would be shooting the messenger if the person bringing the message didn't make up bullcrap and act like he knows exactly what he is talking about. You don't know what you are talking about, you don't have enough experience in coding to help, and you have no useful place in this conversation, so put on your big boy pants and grow up. You don't know, so don't answer. |

Oh, you know what you are talking about? You KNOW this is possible?
No, it isn't possible.
What you want is real physics. It isn't possible even with the fastest super computer in the world.
You can make something that LOOKS like it, no problem.
And have fun when you get really ambitious and demand people tell you how to bypass the laws of physics. |

| Holographic sights, as in a holographic aiming reticle seen from light reflected through glass. A red dot sight basically. |

Ah, I see. You magically know all my experiences. Please direct yourself the Scripters sub-forum if you want vouchers for my knowledge.

| String, holographic sights appear 3 dimensional in real life, with depth as well. Look up Escape from Tarkov, they did it there. |

| Blind insults, right. Insults that are very much warranted based on your lack of information and being overly inclined to respond acting like you know what you are talking about. You don't. If you don't know, then don't say anything, moron. |

| I think there is something like that at phantom forces. Perhaps looking at their leaked guns could you understand the scripting behind it? |

| Unfortunately it doesn't. They use 2D red dot sights. |
