Looking to build my own character structure, having issues finding a reliable movement method. Whats the best way to replicate the movement of a humanoid without using one?

Simply just trying to move a part via WSAD. Velocity, BodyPosition, and a few other methods are buggy and not as smooth as the regular humanoid. Curious if anyone else has a method that is lightweight and smooth

debating on just making the default character invisible, and attaching the character rig to the torso. It's going to mess with my collisions though.. Anyone else have at least a recommendation I could experiment with?

Then how would I do collisions? The character would just go through everything else

Set the Character parts to CanCollide = true..?

CFrame works, Always assumed even with CanCollide true that it clipped through, I'm so use to the older CFrame when things were super buggy, thanks

Tested the character outside of studio, the block clips through walls even with CanCollide set to true. I gotta head to work but will experiment a little more when I get home tonight, any fixes or ideas I'll check later tonight, thanks for the responses though

Use CFrame but with collision detection
