| Been puking about 7 times each hour. Can't fall asleep. My stomach won't even tolerate it's own acid.. All I want is some water but of course it launches straight back up. It feels like hell. |

"Try a bit of gatorade if you can. Stay hydrated!" I read on what to drink and what not to drink, and gatorade apparently doesn't have the right balance of salt and sugar that the body needs to restore it's electrolytes. |

| If you're vomiting that much I suggest phoning the hospital. |

If you're seriously vomiting 7 times an hour, dehydration is a major risk. I was in a similar situation a long time ago, except I was vomiting literally every three minutes. I ended up needing to take ondansetron just to keep the contents of my stomach down because I was getting very dehydrated. Even in the cases of 24-hour bugs, profuse vomiting like that shouldn't be taken lightly. While this may not warrant a hospital visit, it can't hurt to be heavily drinking water.

I've been drinking small sips and my body is just rejecting it, plus my sister was up all night vomiting and it went away after the morning came. I just need to pull through it but i'm extremely thirsty and I don't have the proper hydrating drinks |

It beats drinking pure water. Even drinking flat soft drinks is fine.

| If it gets to the point of where you feel so dehydrated from vomiting that you may pass out or suffer long term injuries from it, tell your mother so she realizes to take you to the hospital. |

Gatorade never tastes good coming back up, so I wouldn't blame you for being hesitant to drink it.

"clear sodas, like 7-up and sprite, work well too also try some ginger tea that's my mom's home remedy for stomach bugs and stuff like that" I don't have any sprite or ginger tea, I just have Mountain Dew and Filtered water
"Gatorade never tastes good coming back up, so I wouldn't blame you for being hesitant to drink it." I don't have any. Usually my brother has some stashed in the fridge because he plays basketball, but I don't know where they are. Does Mountain dew count as a good drink? |

No, no it does not count as a good drink. It's very dehydrating. |

For some people, Mountain Dew is the only thing they're able to keep down. It wouldn't be my first choice, but if you're able to keep it down, I'd say go for it. It would be better than drinking water and just throwing it up right away.
