| It's all good lol, I know the asynchronous model can be difficult to get used to. And just out of curiosity, what exactly do you need support for that doesn't exist in javascript? |

It's not really Javascript that's the issue; it's Node's model. It has been said by a lot of developers before me that it's problematic too. Because of how it works, it means that a lot of things which rely on synchronous/atomic transactions are completely out of luck. This is evident in the amount of work which went into simply creating a functional MySQL driver for Node, working around the limitations which the model imposes. As an example.
That aside, Javascript is fast but slow, and it's quite a hungry language compared to others. It simply wouldn't work on the hardware we had when we started the projects, and it won't work with the things we need now that we're half-way through them. |

| Ok the way you worded it was like there was some library that didn't exist for it. |

There are libraries which don't exist for it because of the restrictions of the model.
If you want to help with Lua, where do you want to help? |

| I'm effective in almost all fields of Lua, so I could help out with the api or write code for specific parts or functions of it. I also tend to be pretty good at some remote protection methods. (Such as stopping the logging of remotes or crashing should the remote be compromised.) |

| Do you know anything about Rust, Customality? It's more C than C++ but it's memory-safe and thread-safe. |

| As for being effective with Lua, ####### are you good at engineering solutions, particularly regarding data manipulation, structures, and communication? In the fields of Freya and Valkyrie the demand for actual implementation of Roblox-specific features (primarily regarding direct manipulation of Instances on more than a technical level) is relatively low due to the specifications followed and issues tackled. |

| If it's ROBLOX related Lua then it's even easier, but yes I can work with handling data and communication be it Server -> Server or Server -> Client, assuming you mean that. |

| You'd primarily be working with vanilla Lua, only using Roblox specific details where it is important. |

| We sell nothing currently to make any profit. Our server lives on donations, and the promise is mostly an 'if' |

| As for what one could be scripting, you should take a look at the CrescentCode org on Github and take a look at the current Lua work. |

My knowledge is minimal compared to the likes of you and gskw; but I'd be overjoyed to work writing up documentation on the things you work on, and learning along the way.
relatively experienced in Lua & PHP, and semi-competent writer. |

The fact that your go-to was PHP actually disgusts me. We used Lapis at the core since the beginning because it uses Lua which both myself and gskw know, meaning that we didn't have to spend time learning another language before getting something working.
Admittedly, I'm now learning Rust and Go for dealing with lower level stuff and asynchronous network things, but it's chill because most of the functional parts of the server are written in Lapis. |
