Custom instances per say aren't real, so no you could not have it show up in explorer and such. What they are talking about are psuedo-instances, newproxied userdata with a custom metatable. |

I'm a front-end developer actually, although I don't have anytime right now largely due to me being on a project for my own team. If it's possible, I can work with you during the summer.

You wouldn't see the custom Instance in the explorer tab. Instead, you'd be given a collection of Instances which pretend they're something else when handled by a script, and act just like a single Instance in a script.

Unfortunately, I can't help because I need to finish my game so I can upload it to Google play. Concurrently, I keep procrastinating so I guess I'll be done in 5 months. I do have experience in Front-End web developing. Maybe in the future, I'll tag along.
You sound determined. :O NICE MINDSET!

I could be a "Writer" as I used to write SCP articles.. :/ I could also handle minor scripting but I don't want credit to be left to me in any form.

I'm mostly looking for people familiar with developing using Go or Rust, or fluent enough in Lua to be able to engineer solutions for Freya or Valkyrie, or even Drako later.

Documentation would really be the only thing I could do. I've seen the code and it looks too technical for my understanding to continue coding in that fashion. I have no web dev experience either.

Trust, if you think you'd like to try for one of the jobs, I'll assign you a relevant test. I'd like more team members, but I'm not desperate enough to accept just anyone.

I think you guys do great work but I don't want to take on extra major jobs right now. If you guys want to somehow incorporate my roblox-js module which I'm dedicating my time to I'd be willing to work with you. #############################

Unfortunately we don't use Node, and won't be using Node for any projects in the foreseeable future. Whilst it is convenient for people who already use js, time has proven it to be inferior to enough alternatives to be out of the picture. Same deal for PHP, and in turn HHVM.

I don't see how it is inferior. It can be used practically for server, client, and applications and has a ridiculously large library of modules that lets you do pretty much anything with them. But to each his own, I'm not going to tell anyone how to code.

For us it is simply not suitable. Whilst the ecosystem is mature, and it is very usable, its model is messy and has been shown to grind to a halt eventually. Sources: Experience, both first-hand and second-hand.

If your app is completely asynchronous, and you only know js, Node is perfect. For us, Node simply wouldn't cut it; support for some things we use is actually completely non-existent, and there are technically better alternatives available.
