You make music, learn your program's tools, then continue to improve your music. After sometime, try and remake your old music and make it a lot better. Listen to music that you consider is good, and learn from it. Take notes about them.
That's how you become good at making music.

you learn instruments, play your intrument, and then get a friend and try to mix your 2 instruments together
you then write that down, and tada

the thing is that I'm awful at like every instrument lol, and have a budget of exactly $0.00.
but I absolutely refuse to license existing stuff or get someone else to do new stuff for $$$
i need at least *some* soundtrack for this game

Again, I can teach you things and I'm willing to be helpful.
Although I have a good number in years of experience I understand that learning music theory is hard and impractical for some.
I can teach the bottom line essentials and give practical tricks for making music with little knowledge. |
