The only thing I know is ROBLOX's LUA ... And since I want to make video games in the future I will need to know some real stuff...

Lua is real stuff..? Companies do use it...
The fact you know Lua will aid you in learning other languages. |

The truth is, Lua is incredibly fast and flexible. Whilst it isn't very established, Lua is being used increasingly in applications due to its speed and simplicity. Lua does also have a rather mature development ecosystem, which is something to be desired regarding some newer languages.
By the way, if you're calling it LUA, you don't know enough of it to do anything real with it regardless. Trust me. |

| Try Python. It's very similar to Lua. It's a good bridge between Lua and other languages like C++. |

Lua not LUA.
I might not understand what ur implying but, if ur serious about games don't expect to find an ez language and bam all done.
If you want start easy and continue to learn, but considering u play ROBLOX why not learn Lua so u have a starting point on something ur familiar with. Then as u go learn more and more. |

I use Grammarly and it switches Lua to LUA. Probably because I used to type it a lot.

So? Anything other than python? Or is it all? Also, is java a good programming language?

You could learn multiple languages, as many are better for different things, and different companies look for specific languages. You may want to learn about 4 or 5. It becomes easy after a while, you could pick it up in a day. I know 8 xD But I only use 2-3 on a daily basis.
Lua and C# are good for games. |

"is java a good programming language?"
Not particularly. If you want to target the JVM there are many other better languages, with backward compatibility for Java libraries.

| Now it'll take you a few months to learn something else, then a month to learn another thing, then a few weeks, then a week... It gets easier. |

| If you wanna make apps, and you want them on Apple devices, then Swift is what you gotta do. Sadly, Swift isn't used anywhere else xD |

I honestly hate C# and Java because of their sacrifice of functionality for simplicity. Screw not having pointers, and forget not having easily created unions. |

I wish I didn't have to pay that £400 (I think) fee to have a licence to make apps :(

@donot
Objective-C and C++ are what you are SUPPOSED to use, not Swift. |

Positive they removed C++ support. Anyway, I taught myself Swift, so that's what I use anyway. |

I think you see Java and assume C# is the exact same. It isn't.
C# has pointers.
