I'm in support of it
It reduces fossil fuel usage... (trains wont be transporting it no more :] )
the oil ALREADY travels through the standing rock reservation by train....which is MORE risky than a pipeline
ESPECIALLY since that train travels over the mississipi river...which tends to flood...a lot
(i think the indian protesters r dum tbh...theyre harming themselves :p)
It'll reduce the shipping cost of the oil by 47%
It'll create many jobs |

The DAPL cuts through the Indian reservation, so once again Americans are stealing their land.
Trump has invested in the DAPL prior to becoming president and has given the go ahead on DAPL as president, purely for his financial benefit.
Not even a week in and he's edging into impeachment territory

It's not their land.... I'll sum this argument up simply,
What entitles the indians to that land? |

What if I told you
That indians conquered other indian tribes to get their land?
Tell you what, the indians can have their land back...except they have to give the land they 'stole' back to the indian tribes before them.
Sorry but not sorry, this indian reservation argument is the most hypocritical argument from the left imo |

It will get some jobs, but not near the amount of the projected amount. I can see 30k jobs for about 2 years but after that the pipeline will downgrade to housing about 100 jobs terminally at most.
I think it would be good for trade.
Seeming it pumps out 840,000 Barrels of Oil a day.

well considering we were at war with the native americans for many many years and we conquered it
but to no surprise there will always be people who hate america because we took land from barbarians that were killing each other anyway and developed the land into the great country we are today haha :\ |

during the revolutionary war, indian tribes betrayed each other and took sides
so once again, this argument on whether or not the land is theres, is hypocritical |

That's such a dumb counter argument. That was their culture and terms of war. I don't recall the migrants taking their land the way the Indians took each others? Either way, if a tribe took another tribes land, it was still the Native Americans land.

what people dont understand about the Dakota Access Pipeline is that the oil is still going to get transported, and the alternative is rail transporation. spillage and ecological disasters are about 87% more common via rail transporation than pipeline. Pipeline is more efficient and will lower gas prices.
and sorry but more people = more oil. Indians don't get to stop progress forever because muh ancestral bison lands |

@Val I think its ignorant to call a culture different to yours barbaric. I mean the Amazonians way of life seems so much nicer away from all the horrific news and the way the world has become today so idk. I'd rather be ignorant and be in an Amazonian tribe

It is simple math. I didn't get it from CNN, although I know there was a segment about it.
The construction and mat. of the pipe is going to be accountable for many of the jobs.
By the way, in terms, CNN is a credible source as they have entitled to them a press license. Giving them credibility.
