Gamemode name(for now): Siege Campaign
Single player gamemode The first thing you do when you start is select a map to play on from a world map. There are only a few available at first. As you beat maps you unlock new maps on the world map and can go back to completed maps and redo them on higher difficulties to set new unique records on the leaderboard.
You spawn in the center of a giant map and you have x amount of starting money and a barracks. Spread around the map are tons of enemy bases of varying difficulties. Some might have just a turret and a plane, and some might have 3 command centers, 5 forts, and a full tank and soldier army.
Every base you kill awards you cash which lets you build more buildings and units at your base.
The goal of this gamemode is to destroy the entire map's enemies as fast as possible. Your time will be recorded in the leaderboard. The strategic element of this gamemode is managing your time and cash wisely and knowing which enemy’s base to attack next to yield the most cash back to build up a bigger army to take on the tougher bases. The enemy does not(atm) attack your base, they only defend their individual bases. Bases are liable to produce a few units if they have the buildings for it when you start attacking them. The map environment will probably match up its location in the world map, so if a map takes place between a mountain area meeting a grassy area, the world map will show that.
• This gamemode would likely feature teleport pads since the map is going to be huge, and to add an extra strategic twist • I will have to bring back tabs and improve on the current selection system • Getting around the map won’t be a problem as I’ll have a teleport tool or maybe point and click on the radar. • This gamemode will likely have a saving system so you can save your game and come back later. This will prevent rage if you disconnect or if you have to leave. • I may make it so you have to kill certain bases to allow certain buildings such as Research Center, Docks, Nuclear Silo, etc to be built. • Every Siege map may have multiple difficulties so there can be several leaderboards per map to encourage more people to try and get a high ranking somewhere.
This idea is still being worked on. This gamemode being a campaign was only just thought up of. I don’t really like nor do I think a real campaign mode like that of Age of Empires II can be done because I can’t do proper AIs and I feel the unit selection and lack of resources besides cash could let a real campaign match exist that doesn’t feel forced and unfun. If you have any ideas besides the same destroy the many bases of different difficulties as fast as possible, I want to hear them.
Post ideas on this gamemode. If you have a suggestion not related to this gamemode, post it on the group wall, I’m not looking for other unit ideas or different gamemodes.

| This sounds really good. For the AI, can't you just take chunks from the unit-movement script and make the units attack other units in X range, while another code lets them have a random chance to attempt to invade your base(this obviously calculating if the army is too weak(using firepower/health), like 3 soldiers against 5 CC's, but it wouldn't be that accurate so they could get a bigger army OR smaller army then needed). Would this work? |

| How about you add territory? Like, If you enter enemy territory there is a chance you will be ambushed by small groups of units, and destroying a base will grant you with that territory, and on the leaderboard there is a "Total Territories Claimed" tab. |

| You get Unique skins if you complete them under certain times to make it worth more while. |

| IF, this was to be worked on, how long would us "adoring fans" have to wait for it to be completed? I'm not being impatient, as it isn't even in development, but I'm just trying to get as much info as I can out of you because I, personally, think this is an amazing idea. I would suggest contacting certain devs that have experience on the AI sorta stuff. May the best of luck be on your side. |

| It depends entirely on what each mission will be. Whether it will be the same mission in every map - kill enemies to get cash for more offenses to kill every enemy as fast as possible - or possible mini gamemodes for each map. Every idea needs to be settled in before real work can start. It's possible this will not be the next main update. |

| I feel the AI (with the 6 forts and CCs) are too overpowered i think ### sould be set on difficulty like hard would make them all have 6 CCs and forts but on normal or easy it sould be like 3 or 2. I really think this will be fun you're games are aways fun :) |

| I personally think you should maybe consider consulting people like Gunsmanak for advice on the AI. It's never a bad thing to not ask for help. Also, this may be far out, but maybe if you do add this gamemode, you could create the game how you want. Such as, how difficult the enemies will be, how many enemies there will be, maybe even limited unit/building types? This is just my two-cents. Ignore if you wish. |

I think this group should add a game mode duel. Where you duel with your friends. Max player will be 4. So its 2v2. |

| possibly on some maps, you have to get your whole army to a certain point before time runs out, and the AI will be attacking you as you go. And you can only use the types of troops that you get to the point, and before you race to the point you have time to create some units. |
