Mainly at level 6 practice, you'll be working on routines. Fixing problems, adjusting things that can be made better, etc. __________________________________________________________________ HOW TO START PRACTICE:
-Start with getting there at the desired time for practice. A few minutes late is fine, but if you're too late, that gives Flight a bad impression, and if you miss, that is a big warning sign for me. If you're going to have to miss a practice, PLEASE try and post before practice would have started and say that it's cancelled. There's nothing worse than a coach not being at a practice they were supposed to be at.
-Let them warmup for 10 to 15 minutes, you can do whatever, I personally would prefer you to help them along with their warmups/watch over them.
-After everyone warmed up, take them over to the balance bars (All the little bars by the swings in the wall and the Single Swings with the fencing) and have them line up behind the first bar. Have them jump on all the bars all the way to the last bars, then come back backwards using mouselock. Have them do this twice.
-After balance bars, have them go work on their routines for any event they choose. (Floor beam bars or vault) Wander around and watch each person while they're working on their routines, correct any mistakes, and give tips and help when needed. While they are working on routines, they should be creative enough to try and come up with new skills they can incorporate into their routines. (For example, our old elite sport came up with the kip, and one of our current elites theguy made up a back hipcircle. (Warning, it is really hard. xD)
-Most of the work in level 6 should be improving new routines. They should be pretty good before you decide to level them to the elite ranks:Level 7-10
-If you want, you can teach them anything else you think they haven't learned. (It would not make sense to teach mounts to a level 6 however, so use your own judgement)
Mainly, level 6's goal isn't competing, their goal is perfecting their routines and getting into elites.
If you believe someone is ready for a level up, message me to let me know. You may not rank any student to Elites without my consent. |
