the reason that you can't and never will be able to do it is due to your english phonotactic constraints
the trilled "r", commonly found in central american languages such as spanish, nahuatl, and other indigenous languages, is not present at all in english
it is uncommon for native english speakers to have the ability to trill their "r"s
the reason that most of us cannot make this sound is for the same reason the word "wa" in chinese sounds the same to us in its six variations, but each of its pronunciations is very distinct to a native chinese speaker due to the intination that our ears cannot detect
also the reason why most english-learning arabic students pronounce our "p" sound as a "b", they cannot tell the difference and do not know how to pronounce the latter bilabial voiced consonant i.e. "bebsi" |
