Yep, I remember they announced it at ROBLOX Rally 2011.
They moved on to other things, I asked them like 4 years ago and they said they were working on other ports first. There is a thing on GitHub that lets you play on Linux, but it's very buggy.

| This forum is for people on Linux. I hate it when people say "then get a normal Windows or Mac computer" Because maybe some people want it to be on Linux really bad for some reason or just only have a Linux or only have a Linux computer!!! (Now, back to the real question.) I think it's extra coding and they have to ask the Linux makers, so basically, it's to much work for roblox, I believe. |

The statistics don't lie: People interested in Roblox who also use linux is a very small community.
While it's not impossible that it will happen, as far as Im aware we have no plans to move to the linux platform. |
