Why do we need giant masses of ice? They are not beneficial to humanity at all. Everyone makes such a big deal out of them melting, but why? If they melt, we could use the space they took up for something far more important and beneficial to mankind.
Let's work extra hard to make the Earth hotter. This will eliminate harsh Winters as well. Today, billions of people suffer and even die due to cold weather, but tomorrow, nevermore shall anyone suffer an icy fate. What could possibly go wrong? |

"A drought"
Um, actually it would be quite the opposite. If the poles melted, then we could provide fresh water to the dehydrated people. Don't be so inconsiderate towards the less fortunate! |

We could build up an immunity to water, see forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=207230612, and atlantis-like cities sounds really cool!
"We'd flood we'd die"
No, the water would mostly evaporate in less than a day, but still leaving us with enough fresh water to give to the poor.

"bait"
What's with you people passing off my brilliant ideas as bait? My ideas aren't flamebait just because you can't even begin to understand them. I'm sorry if my superior intelligence offends you. |

"no, all island countries and countries with a coast would flood, and take away a lot of land"
It wouldn't take away the land, it would just go underwater, then we could have underwater cities protected by domes and stuff! |

"People will burn to death"
So we slowly melt the polar regions so people can build up an immunity to the heat. That, or everyone could just live in the underwater cities. Underwater cities are cool. |
