ine?
I already have a copy of Game Engine Architecture, grabbed the source code of OGRE and looked at it, etc. etc.
What are some good resources to also look at?

I wish, but I'm not familiar with PE executables and *especially* do not want to rewrite a *lot* of assembly code --> C++, just to (illegally) reverse engineer ROBLOX and hope to dear god that I wouldn't get caught.
My engine is already similarly set up to ROBLOX anyway (game.elf loads a data.xml or data.dat file which defines the world, all the graphics, input, etc. etc. are defined in the actual executable, and the game world is all one big file), pretty sure this is about as close as I can get to writing a "ROBLOX clone" without stepping on any legal land mines.
Unless ROBLOX open-sourced both Studio and Player, which I *really* doubt.

How do you get caught reverse engineering? RE'ing is not illegal unless you literally copy the code. |

I think it has a github for that? But I think that's for ROBLOX Studio tools like terrain generation and such

Exactly, that's why my game engine is licensed under CC0, problem is, well, can't really make anything with it right now.

"oh no off topic"
I mean I could go to r/gamedev or r/askprogramming but I'd rather not.
