| definitely waffles, they have a nice thick fluffy texture and they don't become too sweet when soaking up the syrup, while with pancakes are lighter and soak up the syrup making it too sickly sweet. |

Waffles.
Waffles are full of miniature containers which allow you to put more syrup in the waffle. These surface irregularities also increase the surface area, so the syrup can be absorbed more quickly.
On the other hand, pancakes are often thicker then waffles, so they fill you up faster, so you cannot ingest as much syrup, and the Dutch pancakes (not crepes, Dutch pancakes) are a lot better than the thick ones, and are quite close competition for waffles. However, since waffles can, as previously stated, store more syrup, they are the winner of this contest. |
