| Fixing "getting to front page Instantly with Glitches" would be a good first step. |

You make up a problem and then ask me what ROBLOX is going to do about it.
Not sure how to respond.
Also the actual problem you are asking about isn't inflation it is deflation, and it isn't even applied across the board, it only applies to a basket of old items that not surprisingly has increased in value as they have become more rare.
Explain why this is actually a problem and maybe we can discuss it. |

| @Tnt - That would do nothing to get currency out of the economy. |

@Shed - Did you read my thread?
That isn't made up.
DevEx did a spell to stop it in 2013, but it hasn't fixed everything. |

The front page glitch puts no more robux into the economy since there is a person on the otherside of each trade currency exchange

@Shedletsky
Maybe because people who want older items, like Empyreus can't get them anymore no matter how much they offer.
Theoretically, if 10 people have a Domino Crown and they all quit or become inactive, what will happen when someone wants a Domino Crown? Is it acceptable to roblox administrators to have virtually unobtainable items? |

| Items that are exchanged frequently represent the economy significantly better than items that are not exchanged frequently. |

@Shed
Inflation is causing items to rise rather than rares. Rares aren't rising because they aren't as easily profitable. You can't sell them for a lot of money either, and they are raising slower than demanded items.
Thus since the demanded items are raising hard the demand continues to increase and the inflation continues to put more bux into the system. Thus raising the item in the end because the robux put into the system will only be used on said demanded items.

Prices are becoming higher and overall currency value is decreasing.
That's the textbook definition of inflation. |

It sounds to me like the real "problem" is that old items are getting more rare and more expensive. This is not a problem this is what I would expect to happen.
Ten dollars worth of ROBUX still buys you a lot of hats, just not the old ones that have tripled in value because they are swag. |

No, the older items are becoming UNOBTAINABLE.
I ask again, is it acceptable to have virtually unobtainable items when the few that own them quit, or become inactive?
I want your answer. |

An apples to apples comparison would be how much a basket of 10 random 6-month old hats cost then versus now.
You are not normalizing for the advancement of time. |

Covertly: yes, it's fine. A mint condition model T from 1916 is also unobtainable.
This is the nature of time, the universe, and entropy. If you don't like it, take it up with your god. |

Growth due to inflation is exponential.
It still is happening to those smaller items, but not the degree that it is happening to large ones.
We are going to run into a huge problem soon, with multiple items being worth MILLIONS and having a million robux meaning very little.
It will look just like the test site. |

So you do admit to hyperinflation?
Items that are unobtainable are priceless. |

"Ten dollars worth of ROBUX still buys you a lot of hats, just not the old ones that have tripled in value because they are swag."
If we're talking about the cheap tix hats and 15 robux hats that every noob on the game has, yeah. Otherwise it either gets you a 1,000 ROBUX set of wings (because that's all ROBLOX knows how to make now) or ten 100 robux hats (still not nearly as much as you used to be able to get for your money).
Or if we're talking limiteds you can get like 10 pairs of purple crazy glasses, or some maybe some 1K item, but it'll be hard to start a good trading career with just that. Takes more like $40 dollars, which will get you maybe a legit fedora and that's about it.
$10 worth of robux doesn't get you anywhere anymore |
