Potentially, but since we create our own fate I'm sure the creators of the robots that could do so will keep this in mind and won't try to make robots do EVERYTHING or will find some sort of compromise.

I think robots will definitely be used more heavily, especially in areas requiring physical labor. I think they'll eventually be advanced enough to be capable to do our jobs, but I have a feeling people are going to riot hardcore against the idea of robots taking a significant portion of jobs away from us.

I think it's likely that over some time robots could take over mass-production of stuff. They could probably get work done much more efficiently than humans as long as they work right.

@Aetricity That's where the top 1% will be making so much money that if they want to survive, they have to pay taxes to support those buying their goods.

@MrPhelps They've already taken millions of physical labour jobs, and will only continue to get smarter (neural networks). There are robots doctors, lawyers, etc. in development. Remember IBM's Watson? It's sort of like that. They analyze the data, and come up with the most accurate result.

@wohoo1997 It's been proven that robots work faster and more efficiently than humans do. Look at a fast food restaurant for example... You have to PAY humans for breaks, vacations, health/insurance, etc. while with a robot, they only need electricity to run. And that's getting cheaper and cheaper, especially with the renewable energies tech.

Anyways, thanks for the interesting replies everyone! :-)

Mexico is going to take our robots. We need to keep our robot jobs in the U.S.!

And China! They want our robots too!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

This is true, and they're only going to get more advanced. But, people will still fight for their jobs. They did when machinery first came on the seen, and they'll do it now. I don't want to speculate on the result haha

@ExtremeBuilder15 Those are sooo 2016 jokes. ;) @MrPhelps Yes, they will. There will most likely be riots in the streets as people become unemployable (yes, unemployable, not just unemployed). Our govt's need a solution, and many people feel it should be Universal Basic Income (a form of ###### ########## As CGP Grey said, unions have fought against technology in the past, and have ALWAYS lost.

Wow, what's with the horrible formatting? It didn't look like that when I posted it. Ah, what can I expect from a kids game...

I really like Self Driving cars, but at the same time, I like driving. I always get nervous going for car rides when I'm not driving, so it'd definitely be interesting. A guy on another forum said "What happens when it's illegal to drive a car manually?"

Interesting. I too get a little nervous in cars when I'm not driving. I'm very intrigued by the question of the computers making decisions when driving, such as who to save if an unavoidable accident were to occur, stuff like that

Yes, it's very confusing... But most of the time, it works.
Still needs to be perfect. As of now, many people believe they're better than human drivers.
