OFFENSE:
QB: Tom Brady - call me bias, but he's a 39-year-old QB playing like he's in his prime
HB: Le'Veon Bell - it shouldn't even be debatable really. he's only 200 yards behind the yards from scrimmage leader, David Johnson, after missing 3 games. he's averaging close to NFL record 157 scrimmage yards per game and is perhaps the most versatile and complete back in the league.
Fullback: Kyle Juszczyk - while i believe Patrick DiMarco is arguably the best blocking back, and you could slot him here because that's the main job of a Fullback, Juszczyk is the most versatile Fullback in my opinion, and he proved that this year with an NFL-best 305 total yards for his position
WR: Julio Jones - this will be an ongoing debate for years to come, but Julio currently leads the league in receiving YPG, and in my opinion, can catch just about anything due to his height and overall physique
TE: Rob Gronkowski - it shouldn't even be debatable. when healthy, Rob Gronkowski is the best TE in the NFL and maybe the best TE of all time
LT: Joe Thomas - while some people will argue Tyron Smith, Joe Thomas has been the prime example of a great LT. from PFF 6 months ago, "In the last two years combined, he has allowed only 41 pressures (four sacks, four hits, 33 hurries); 24 offensive tackles allowed that many pressures or more in just the 2015 season alone."
LG: Kelechi Osemele - PFF ranks him as the 2nd highest overall guard in the league, and i agree. he's perhaps the best lineman on, in my opinion, the inarguably 2nd best offensive line in the league.
C: Travis Frederick - had to include at least one Cowboys lineman on here. he's the highest graded OVERALL offensive lineman on PFF, and there really shouldn't even be any debate on this.
RG: Marshal Yanda - highest ranked guard on PFF. you could argue Zack Martin for this, and it'd be hard to argue against it, but Yanda has remained one of the most flexible offensive linemen in the league and deserves to be mentioned as one of the best.
RT: Bryan Bulaga - there's not many RTs that could be named, but Bulaga is a part of one of the best pass protecting units in the league
DEFENSE:
DT: Aaron Donald - absolutely not debatable. he's perhaps the best defensive lineman in the league, and one of the most disruptive forces in the league as well.
DE: Khalil Mack - if J.J. Watt didn't get hurt so early, i'd for sure put him here, but right now he's hurt, and Khalil Mack has evolved as the clear best DE in the NFL right now. a leading candidate for defensive player of the year, he and Irvin have practically carried and prevented the Raiders defense from being dead last
OLB: Von Miller - the 2nd best pass rusher in the league (Watt is 1st when healthy), he's another leading candidate for defensive player of the year, and is currently 2nd in the league in sacks with 13 1/2. he's probably the best defensive player on the best defense in the league, and that's saying something
MLB: Luke Kuechly - he's hurt right now, but is this even a question? Bobby Wagner is a clear #2 imo, but even he doesn't really compare to Luke Kuechly. he's a 4-time pro bowler, 3 time first-team all pro (should be 4 after this year), former defensive player of the year, and he still hasn't slowed down much
CB: Aqib Talib - no longer are Patrick Peterson, Richard Sherman, and Darrelle Revis the premiere corners in the league. this year, Aqib Talib has been pretty much by far the best corner in football. from last month, "Talib has allowed just 9.3 yards per reception, 53.7 percent of the passes thrown his way to be caught, and opposing QBs have a passer rating of just 37.0 when throwing into his coverage."
FS: Earl Thomas - probably the best safety in the league, his injury was immediately noticeable during the Green Bay game, where Rodgers tore the Seahawks secondary to shreds. is this solely because of the lack of Thomas? most likely not, but it's undeniable his absence hurts the Seahawks defense incredibly
SS: Landon Collins - some could argue Eric Berry here, but Landon Collins is, along with Von Miller and Khalil Mack, a frontrunner for defensive player of the year. he's currently 2nd in the NFL for tackles among safeties and tied for 2nd in interceptions in the league. like Von Miller, he's DEFINITELY the best defensive player on one of the best defensive teams as of late, and that's saying something
SPECIAL TEAMS:
K: Justin Tucker - not debatable anymore. he has a cannon leg, missed only one field goal while being tied for 3rd most field goal attempts in the league (and it was blocked), leads the league in field goal makes, and surpassed Dan Bailey as the most accurate kicker in NFL history this season.
P: Johnny Hekker - leads league in punts, tied for 4th in punting average, 50 punts inside the 20 (leads the league, next closest is 37), forces the most fair catches, has the least amount of punt returning yards averaged against him, tied for longest punt on the year, AND drew praise from Bill Belichick. yeah, he's the best. |

| I find it funny that some of these you use current performance and others you use performance over that last few years. |

"what about kick and punt returners tho"
KR: Cordarrelle Patterson - leads league in kick return average, 2nd in KR yards, longest KR on the year, one of 7 players with a KR TD
PR: Tyreek Hill - tied for first in PR average, first in PR yards, one of 7 players with a PR TD, 4th longest PR, probably fastest PR currently
"Greg Olsen is the best TE currently"
among active players? sure. overall players? no
"I find it funny that some of these you use current performance and others you use performance over that last few years."
does it matter? they're all great currently as well as have been great prior to this season (the ones that played that long) |

| good list but I honestly believe there should be 2 Cowboys linemen on here, that line is quite literally the 2016 NFL MVP |

maybe Martin over Yanda.. just can't replace Joe Thomas considering how great he is, Tyron Smith is really close tho
"0/10 not enough harrison smiths"
he's 2 or 3 for sure, he and Eric Berry are interchangeable for me there at SS |

wait mb i thought Harrison played SS, though he's listed as both on PFR
he's still top 3 in whatever position he plays imo
"finally someone who actually respects Julio"
it's really close, you can't go wrong with either of them at all
"###### is not better than yanda"
i don't think he is either, just saying if i had to put a 2nd cowboys linemen on there i'd probably replace Yanda with Martin (solely considering Joe Thomas is probably the best offensive lineman in the league) |
