-Address the Drill Instructor as “Sir”, if you pass your recruit training, you no longer call NCOs “Sir”.
-NEVER talk when in ANY formation, without using and SPELLING OUT “Permission to speak?”
-Try to use grammar as much as you can.
-Work in a team.
-Listen to orders, and take notes.
-Try your very best.
-Turn on shift lock. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Drill Commands - Section II
-The DI will address you and start each command with a unit command. Detail 1-3, Squad 4-6, Platoon 7-9, Company 10+
Basics:
-Fall in: Fall in the formation on a square.
-Dismissed: Entire formation falls out.
-Present Arms: (Please be sensible and use context clues) -Meaning 1: Take out your firearm. -Meaning 2: Salute.
-Order Arms: (Please be sensible and use context clues) -Meaning 1: Put away your firearm. -Meaning 2: Drop your arm.
-Attention: Stop what you are doing and put your hands by your side.
-Stand at, ease: Stand at ease.
Faces:
-Left face: Turn your body 90 degrees to the left.
-Right face: Turn your body 90 degrees to the right.
-About face: Turn your body 180 degrees around.
-Half left face: Turn your body 45 degrees to the left.
-Half right face: Turn your body 45 degrees to the right.
-Eyes front: Face the instructor.
Marching Commands:
-Column line on me: Get into a single file line on the instructor.
-March: March forward until told to halt.
-Halt: Stop marching.
-Form (number here) ranks: Make (number here) rows of marines in the formation.
Classroom:
-No yelling.
-NEVER MESS WITH THE BOARD
-Ask questions
-Take notes (You will be tested on the things you learn in the classroom)
Inspection:
-When the DI comes up to you, you say “(Rank) (Name) reporting for inspection, Sir!”
-You are tested on grammar, uniform, and 3 questions. 3/5 passes. 5/5 gets honor grad title.
