I'm not really that much of scripter, so I'm clueless as to how to make this. You guys probably already know, but anyways. How do I make a script that will keep particles from going through bricks?

You don't need a script for that. Just regulate manually the ParticleEmitter's property called LifeTime.

I'm doing this for an entire map that'll be snowing. I want to make a brick always be floating over the persons head snowing, so I want to keep it from doing that.

Look, unless you make custom particles, which are a pain, the particles will always get through parts.

I'm not sure if this is how most people do it, so don't hold me to this. I believe many people have a grid of ParticleEmitters above the map, and they locally turn of the one directly above the player if they're inside a building. That way it looks like the particles would be falling outside, but the particles won't fall through the building they're in.

It's not simple. And if it was/is, why wouldn't you do it?

A custom particle is for example make the brick from above spawn smaller bricks, representing a particle. With those bricks you could do multiple things, in your case, whenever a small brick hits a different brick, it would get deleted. Other people use them to create other particles when they hit the ground, such as rain, etc.

I don't, I simply love trolling the ignorant. He says it's simple, and it isn't. If it was, he would clearly be doing it.

^ I quote: "I know it isn't simple, that's why I'm here." Perhaps read a book instead of trolling?

I quote:
"I need help to make a script, really simple."
So either way he did something wrong. He can take his pick:
A.) He click-baited us. B.) He realized it wasn't even though he thought it was simple, and tried to say he never said it. |

So what, you can't regret a statement? I'm flipping out how you're making such a big deal just because he stated something was simple, and then took it back.

No, I was bothered when he lied. He was here to have us make it for him because he was lazy and didn't want to make something simple (well, he thought it was). He then took it back, and claimed a false reason for coming here.

I thought it'd be simple for you guys. It isn't simple for me, that's why I said that. Also, why are you trying to start an argument over literally nothing, Lua?

I know how to script, but not to the extreme. I wasn't going to ask you to make it, I just need help.

Goodness, you really need a book. He said he was clueless on how to script, and him, thinking it was simple, wanted to ask us on how to do it. He asked us just as you ask someone a question about Filtering Enabled. If you don't wanna answer the question, you don't answer it. Clearly the one who's having the worst position is you, because you started attacking someone. He asked for a lead, nothing more.
