Trying to generate some discussion, so post any comments or questions about lifting here.
Just began my school's official offseason football program. It's a 3 day program, but I workout every day, with the extra days being agility/ab work days. |

"what 2 eat"
I follow an extremely strict diet that involves no meat and very little sugar and very litte dairy. I wouldn't expect most people to be that dedicated, but try to avoid processed foods. Great protein sources- peanut butter, protein bread, greek yogurt, rice, protein-rich pasta, protein bars, protein chips, nuts/seeds, and veggies |

@lugia- Beginners can do most of the stuff advanced people can do.
Basic workout:
Bench press (3 sets of 12), pushups (3 sets as many as possible), dumbell shoulder press (3 sets of 12) squats (3 sets of 12), sprints.
Then after 1-2 workout with 12 reps, go down to 10 reps for each set, then down to 8, 6, 4 after a week, etc, then reset back at 12. |

peanut butter cookies arent healthy. healthy eating is hard at first but it gets easier with time. try peanut butter banana sandwhiches.
and if you dont have weights id just do 3 sets of: pushups, arm circles, wall sits, and planks, with every set being until you can't do anymore. do this every day or every other day depending on your dedication level. also sprints help too. |

Since the start of the school year, my squat max has gone from 225 to 265, goal is to be able to do 280 no problem by end of senior year
weight has also gone up from 120 lbs to 125 but stagnating recently |

| Jimbo that's a very impressive squat max, although I have to question just how kow youre going on your squats. Just gonna say the lower you go the nore explosive you'll be for running and jumping, although if that's not what you're training for then all you need to do is go to a 90 degree knee bend |

Honestly, I'm probably only going about 80 degrees max on that 265 squat max
Going the full 90 I'd lower that to maybe a 250 or 255 |

| My personal goal is anywhere from 130-135 by the end of the school year, ik it's not a lot but considering I was 110 pounds all throughout 8th grade - sometime in 11th grade I've been doing well in gains |
