A little more than a year ago I was an average security guard. I didn’t want anything more than just patrolling the laws and securing the contaminated sites for the task units. Oddly enough I never wanted to recontain an SCP. Not that I wasn’t good at it. I was great at it actually. But what was the real joy of securing the breached area is seeing how many MTF just run into the slaughter thinking they’re doing anyone good. In fact I remember a time when the director himself struggled to get SCP-049 back into his cell. I think he and his companions died 5 times straight before I stepped in and took care of it with under a minute. You’d think I would be offered a position in MTF but quite the opposite. In fact the whole question of “who contains who” started just from that one incident. I wasn’t only chewed out by the MTF director but a handful of the O5’s. Back then they seemed to get involved with each other. There was no O5 meetings, not O5 elections, not O5 voting on laws. If you wanted to be an O5 you’d have to be in a contest: “Whose nose is browner than the other?” Cheers to those that got it.
But joking aside I will say this: Every Foundation is surrounded by an autocracy. One rule makes all the decisions. Many people argue it’s the most effective means of leadership. For military's, perhaps, but we are no military. The Foundation isn’t changed by one leader but a council of leaders. And those council of leaders started as division leaders. And those division leaders started out as nothing… Just like me. You get it now? I didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to be the Administrator. I started out as a security guard with no aspirations whatsoever. If someone came and told me that I’ll be leading my own foundation in 3 months then I probably would have thrown them in the medical bay for psychiatric examination. Although we never had a medical bay, just a bunch of old used syringes and uncleaned beds. (Hahaha. Now you know why I wear the mask!)
I just wanted to thank each and everyone of you here today. Regardless of loyalty to the Foundation or to the Chaos Insurgency, we’re all apart of one genre. One community. One love.
Now, to close up the rumors, a couple weeks ago I did say I would resign. But not resign by handing the group away. I will resign by handing my power away, to the people that will do some good for the genre. I always perceived the Foundation to be a group that strives on the decisions of its members, not its leaders. A group in which everything is politically disputed, not breaking into rebellions with every event. I take pride in the year that has brought us stability and evolution to our ranks, for our true success is the ability to change. Would the Romans have been able to conquer the Mediterranean if they had no change to their military? Would Great Britain have been a powerful force in politics if they did not change from absolute monarch to a constitutional monarchy? Would the Americans have one the revolution if they did not perceive themselves as individuals rather than subjects of the crown? No, ladies and gentlemen, it is the ability to evolve our ways in which keep us strong and active.
Upon my resignation I hereby release the authoritative powers unless granted to me once again by the Council. Do not make the mistake of thinking that I will give the group a blind eye, on the contrary. I will be there beside you, waiting, observing, supporting. But here I relinquish my authority and let the title of “Administrator” be an idea. An idea of struggle to protect power from falling into the wrong hands. An idea of change to bring forth ingenuity. And an idea of ambition, because you’ll never know what will happen next.
Some may question the date of the anniversary. They say it was the 7th, or the 12th. To me it was the 17th of December. It was they day I finally knew that this Foundation will last an entire year and compose itself of good operatives and directors that will keep the wheels of progress spinning. They are the true heroes of the Foundation. |

Yet I don't see Class-D's getting any extra benefits or guards who treat them correctly. tsk tsk tsk.

Very very nice administrator, however, I have a question.
So I got CE'd because of you now? (I lured Skip-049 back into it's cell by myself with 1 CI after me back when I first started, so I guess I got CE'd for a thing very similar to what you did.)

Amazing how long this foundation's lasted. It has a privilege unlike any other foundation. I was in adlbe's SCPF before, the one with just "Special Containment Procedures Foundation" and not "[Special Containment Procedures Foundation]" which gave it quite a lot of originality. At one point the owner resigned and gave the foundation to another person, except the person bought it and was completely unqualified for the spot of Administrator. I was given the spot O5-X by that administrator, specifically because he mistook me for somebody else. But I instead took care of the foundation for him, and lost many friends in the process. I fought against the corruption he brought to the foundation for months, and fought against people who are in THIS foundation today; they were once in the other.
I guess I could say I started out like you, Eltork; worthless. I got one opportunity, though; I got a spot in Sigma. And I threw it all away for the other corrupted and inactive foundation. And now I rejoined this one four months back, stood next to a bench as a foundation personnel for weeks. I got into SD, stayed like it for a while. I watched everyone rank up, Trainee to Officer in a matter of days. In fact, I still remain a Guard. People's hatred for me has lead to my failure. I have the skills needed, but am not acknowledged.
Your speech inspired me. Thanks. |

| Okay this is heartwarming and all but this stuff does really belong in C&G. It's not RP-related at all. Or if this is a RP group, it still belongs in C&G because the RP subforum is for forum-based roleplays and stories only. |
