Every time I play ROBLOX, (not any other game) the game overheats for no reason whatsoever. And I played for about 10 minutes and my PC restarts. At first I assumed it was a hacker. I've even cleaned my PC a couple of times. Yet, ROBLOX still overheats.
How do I know it's ROBLOX? I play lot of other games and they don't overheat. Why is ROBLOX any different? Well, ROBLOX supports their own engine which I've been playing ROBLOX for four years now and only started encountering this problem 8 months ago. (might be more) I've been ignored since then and I just gave up.
I'm giving it one last shot to see if I actually get help. I even have a fan in my room which doesn't stop it. |

Make sure DirectX 9 is the selected GraphicsMode in Studio, and ensure that your graphics drivers are up-to-date.
Additionally, have you used Process Hacker to see how much CPU/GPU is being used whilst ROBLOX is open? What specs does your computer have? |

By specs I mean everything. CPU, GPU, Windows version, etc. You can use a program like Speccy to get this information.
As for how to access the GraphicsMode setting, open ROBLOX Studio, click on File > Settings > Rendering > Accept the prompt that pops up > Change GraphicsMode to Direct3D9. |

Post your specs here as said by sonickyle, and there is a way to find out what's causing your PC to overheat..
Your PC probably overheats due to extremely high CPU usage reaching the point where the system shuts itself down to protect it's hardware.
Another culprit might be the fact that your PC is not cooled properly therefore the CPU overheats, but this is improbable. |

Probably a low end pc, unless the other games you play are also graphically intensive I'd either recommend you lower roblox settings, download a game booster, buy a cooling fan or last resort, by a new PC bro. Sometimes deleting all ROBLOX related files in appdata>local(>roaming) helps |

"download a game booster"
pls no
"pc > consoles,mobile devices,note 7s and a charger"
Note 7 is actually a pretty powerful phone, it's just the battery that makes it look bad. If it wasn't for the battery, it would easily be the best Android phone of late 2016. |

Get a can of pressurized air and clean the fins on your videocard. Roblox runs on lesser machines without problems. Chances are the dry skin and dust in the air has finally taken over your machine. |

| Your fan on your graphic card is probably not working right. I would suggest to get a new graphic card. |

| It actually seems Direct3D9 thing is actually fixing it. I'll do a full test tomorrow. |

No it doesn't so I'll post my specs.
Windows 8.1 RAM 8.00GB 64-bit AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.50 GHz Geforce GT 630
That's everything I think is necessary. |

| Lower your settings mostly graphic's so it isnt as hard as a toll , and if its that bad take it to the repair shop or if your on a budget try and elevate it off the ground , always works with my Xbox. |

The settings are okay, it isn't overheating. |

So apparently full-screen fixes it.
Coincidence or it really worked. |
