ROBLOX removed comments from everything now. They seemed to done this to try to combat spam. This is not right and needs to be reversed. There's a couple of problems with removing comment sections altogether:
1.THERE ARE BETTER SOLUTIONS Simply stated, there's better solutions to stop spam. What could've been done is a "flag as spam" option, where people can flag comments as spam, so when a moderator comes, he can remove it. Also, they could've blocked anything that looks like a "freerobux.ro" or any links like it. Also, it can be left up to the owner of the game, item, etc. to monitor comment sections, instead of it being left to a large corporation, who are far more busy with other issues. In the end, there's better options than simply blocking comments.
2.IT PROMOTES CENSORSHIP Like in China, blocking comments, in my opinion, is a form of censorship. I know there's spammers, but there's also reasonable people on ROBLOX that put reasonable comments. They're not doing anything wrong; they're just voicing their opinion. Now that comments are blocked, it seems that this is the beginning of blocking free speech on ROBLOX. This, to me, is not okay.
Those are my main 2 reasons for why blocking comments is a terrible thing done. If we are to get the admins' attention, we need to make this post popular. Go ahead and post what you think is wrong with the so-called "solution" to spam and what you think can solve it. Spread the word: #Bringbackcomments!

It's not a very good solution. It needs to be addressed and solved the proper way.

1. The users making the comments are bots, which post much quicker than any owner, moderator, or user can flag or remove combined.
2. Wrong comparison. It is worth noting that many members of the staff have said that removing comments was a temporary solution. They're thinking of another way to combat the bots.
Additionally, I'll add that although it is unfortunate that honest users can't post feedback, the alternative of potential users going to these sites and having their account compromised is much worse a fate. |

They need to ban bots. I know what you're going to say: "It's far more complicated." Well, to that I say: "Don't give me details, just get it done!" And no, it was a rightful comparison. You know China puts up censorships.

| If ROBLOX actually wants to prevent bots, they need to add a CAPTCHA verification when people are making accounts. CAPTCHA is a system intended to distinguish people from machines |

"Don't give me details, just get it done!" does not help the cause in any way.
Additionally, likening a company that's trying to find a solution to stop users from falling for phishing sites is not comparable to a long running political issue that harms hundreds of millions of people.
The staff aren't censoring users for what they're saying, like in China's case, if it were there wouldn't be any forums.
This is a temporary solution, keep in mind.

@DannyUSA1 Good; we need that in the account making process.
@ninjasheep Are you sure? If it really is only temporary, what do you think the solution is?

1. flagging is near impossible; since most spams are bots there will always be more bots flooding the chat
a better option would be to only allow people who played the game to comment, but some spammers will still be there (there is never an escape)
2. we have the like/dislike system to show what we think about the game. i think that's enough

it should have been removed. i dont think you know how much money these people that run the fake robux sites make. gullible people think it works, does survey, site owner gets money.
the more you know! |

1. Flagging is not impossible; it IS possible.
2. Of course we can prevent bots from commenting spam; we just need to add a CAPTCHA verification to the account making process.
3. The like/dislike system is too vague to be solely relied on. What about developers that want specific feedback?

That's what comments and the like/dislike system are there for. Also, don't give me that "pay to review" stuff; that's just a cheap way to earn money.

@above
but they get a lot of messages so it will be hard for them to actually look for one
Most messages are just troll anyways |

What about those developers who blocked their inboxes to random people? That's what comments were there for.

No; people will revolt to the whole "pay to review" thing. That just simply supports the rich robloxians and the ones with robux. You have to think about the people who can't afford to waste money just to post something.

i never said the "pay to review" thing
if there are gamepasses and they are selling, the developer is doing something right
if they're not, the developer is doing something wrong
if the developer wants "personal feedback" he can let people send him messages, or make a group, and in the wall people can share their opinions
there will be substantially less spam in the group wall anyways

Yeah, but what if people can't message him, or don't want to or even can't join the group? Honestly, you can't reason out comments.

| roblox did not remove comments to everything its an option to have comments or not on your models games shirts ect. and if you are talking about on the catalog none of the comments where useful they weren't going to change the item and all of the comments where about trading liking hating or spamming the hat |

if people can't message him, then he doesn't want messages from people
if people don't want to join the group, then that's on them
there is no way anyone can't join a group unless they have too many groups (they can just leave one that they aren't active in) or if the developer makes it private (which is on them)
