Yes. With FE on, creating a brick with a local script will make it visible only to the client.

If this is a serious question,
You can also put bricks in the camera, and they will function locally. This does, however, pale in comparison to generating them with a local script in the workspace with FE enabled.

So I could script a function that allows one character to place a tripwire brick down, but to the other team it is invisible

For that, you should just use LocalTransparencyModifier

Yeah, putting down a tripwire locally means other players won't be able to set it off.

Or simply just make the tripwire's Transparency to 1, then if the player is on the team who placed it down, make it's Transparency 0. Make sure FE is on though.

To make a tripwire that only one player can see generate the part on the Server, and then :FireAllClients() to make that part's LocalTransparencyModifier = 1
