Hey, this will be a revision to this post https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=203793865.
Roblox advertises it's self as a kid friendly game for the ages 8-18. That means kids as young as 8-12 are encouraged to play Roblox. Many of the games on Roblox are quite violent and have these young 8 to 12 year olds simulating shooting each other. Violent video games have been shown to cause less of a physiological reaction to violence and increased aggression.
POSSIBLE FIXES! 1. Redo the recommended ages from 8-18 to 12+. 2. When a new account signs up add a warning that the site has violent games.
Roblox does not have to ban gun games they just need to be more transparent and not act kid friendly when they actively support these violent games.
Thanks for your time! :) |

Support, that could warn some children about that ROBLOX has violent games.
But then why does it even advertises it's self as a kid friendly game for ages 8-18?
That could ruin something, I don't know what, but it will ruin.
Let me guess, creativity?
How can you create a kid friendly game but stressing because there are violent games on a kid friendly website?
-Sincerely, Dr. No Sense. |

They just need to stop advertising themselves as a kid friendly website all around.
They try to keep up this persona by hashtagging litterally every word but they don't warn parents about kids playing call of duty style games. Call of duty has to warn their audience about how violent it is but Roblox doesn't? |

If you say that.
I agree with you all the way.
ROBLOX can stop advertising it's self as a kid friendly game, because it has violent games, right?
And remember the comment I made with blood/gore on/off setting, located in the settings menu, right?
Check it out. |

| Yes, they should also be adding something along those lines. |

Yeah.
So, you know, children could not be affected by the blood effects from the game.
But what about ragdolls? They're like real life dead bodies but in a virtual block game.
How can we fix that? |

@Titan Actually now that I think about it a gore option wouldn't really work. The game creators would have to add this by themselves.
I feel like the only thing Roblox can really do is give a warning or change the recommended age range.
They are not likley to enforce and ban every game that has violence and I am ok with that as long as they end their hypocracy! |

Support, there are also too many OD games which make no sense at all.

1. Recommended ages are never looked at. 2. That's common sense. All gaming sites have violent games.
Try making a 13+ category, or an option to remove popular violent games like Bloodfest from the front page. |

Support.
Recently, I caught my 8 year old son playing a violent game on ROBLOX. I took the computer from him immediately and put him on a time-out. Meanwhile, I came to the horrifying discovery that, while the game he was playing was called "Phantom Forces", there were countless other violent games that I just was disgusted to see on a kids website. I have decided to make sure my son never plays ROBLOX again until these games are banned and I am encouraging other moms to do the same until all violent games are banned from ROBLOX. |

Ay no. Banning gun games on ROBLOX is like banning Overwatch. It doesn't look realistic. If it looked realistic with gore/blood then fair point. If Overwatch was banned, I would make a petition and get Boris Johnson to sign it.

And, I've been playing shooters for a long time, I've had no signs of "increased aggression" because I have sense in my mind. So do others. Kids won't go off and assault people from playing a ROBLOX game...

Violent video games have been shown to desensitize people to violence and cause increased aggression some studies are these.
Desensitization to violence was defined in a Journal of Experimental Social Psychology peer-reviewed study as "a reduction in emotion-related physiological reactivity to real violence.
Violent video games require active participation and identification with violent characters, which reinforces violent behavior. [59] Young children are more likely to confuse fantasy violence with real world violence, and without a framework for ethical decision making, they may mimic the actions they see in violent video games.[4] Child Development and Early Childhood Education expert Jane Katch, MST, stated in an interview with Education Week, "I found that young children often have difficulty separating fantasy from reality when they are playing and can temporarily believe they are the character they are pretending to be."
In its Aug. 2015 resolution on violent video games, the APA wrote: "WHEREAS many factors are known to be risk factors for increased aggressive behavior, aggressive cognition and aggressive affect, and reduced prosocial behavior, empathy and moral engagement, and violent video game use is one such risk factor." [119] Dr. Craig Anderson, PhD, Director of the Center for the Study of Violence at Iowa State University, wrote: "Playing a violent video game isn't going to take a healthy kid who has few other risk factors and turn him into a school shooter, but it is a risk factor that does drive the odds for aggression up significantly."
There are many other studies
