Do most Front page games use Filtering Enabled??.
Like Battleground type games for example, with a few movesets and flashy explosion type attacks.
Do they just parent the parts to the character or what?

| That's probably the only way they could do it. Well, there are hacky localscript ways I've heard of, but nowadays FilteringEnabled is much easier. |

| By "easier" you must mean "easier to keep safe" because i've gotten ## used to normal scripting that its just irritating lol. ~Help me u dirty cookie |

Naw Most of them ARE hackable. Take Strife! for instance, i've seen many hacks. But most hackers lose interest after 30-60 min.
FE, is a pitiful excuse for an "anti-exploit". First of all, the studio UI is a mess for FE and it gets even more complicated from there. FE isn't really required either, there are some better alternates to it. |

Original front page games use FilteringEnabled. Tycoons, cart rides, obbys and all the other non-original games don't use FilteringEnabled.
What's your question? Try to be a bit more precise. |

I know some alternatives, for example the excessive use of ID'd modules, using the actual PlaceID to check if the game is ran by the original owner, Metatables. But like which games on front page actually use any of those

That's a bit broad my Boi @colbert . Strife! is original, but it itself doesn't use FE. I'm pretty sure hackers have no real interest in hacking tycoons or obbys. And how do you know for certain that they use FE? |

@Xstarlight You're wrong.
1. If you learned how to use FilteringEnabled and how to optimize your Remote Events so they wouldn't be fired from exploiters without certain arguments, then you're good.
2. Anti-exploits are pitiful excuses for security. They do not handle everything FilteringEnabled can, and the report-through-calling ones are inefficient and delayed, making stopping exploiters harder.
3. It's exploiting, not hacking. |

Strife isn't a front pager. He said front page games. It's not broad at all. https://www.roblox.com/games/142823291/Murder-Mystery-2 https://www.roblox.com/games/370731277/HOLIDAYS-MeepCity https://www.roblox.com/games/306964494/Pokemon-Brick-Bronze-Beta https://www.roblox.com/games/155615604/Prison-Life-v2-0 https://www.roblox.com/games/9689581/ROBLOX-High-School https://www.roblox.com/games/189707/Natural-Disaster-Survival https://www.roblox.com/games/192800/Work-at-a-Pizza-Place https://www.roblox.com/games/115390858/Project-Pokemon
Front pagers. Use FilteringEnabled. |

For example, although this is broad and really weird to say, even ironic: Exploit the hackers reason to exploit. I.E. if they hack for more jump, exploit that. If they hack to get more speed, Exploit that. If they hack to get more dmg, EXPLOIT THAT CRAP! |

No better alternative to FilteringEnabled. Exploiters can still run some client side programs such as LuaDec (not sure if patched or not) and steal visible maps and such, but other than that, with the right amount of measures you put along with FilteringEnabled, you're safe. Minus any background things exploiters have going on, game play should remain uninterrupted. |

1. You can tell by the way they yield or have a delayed response time. 2. Exploiters still exist, yet not in these games, oddly enough, don't you think? 3. It's blatantly obvious they use FilteringEnabled. |

@colbert but even with FilteringEnabled i've seen cases where games have been stolen from front page, for Example Apocalypse Rising, Phantom Forces etc.

| JumpPower and WalkSpeed don't replicate. As for damage, store it in the script itself, and you're free. |

" game play should remain uninterrupted." That doesn't mean the hacker can't actually hack themselves. Sure it may stop "weak" hackers that used internet hacks, but they cant exactly get rid of "strong" hacks/ers. |

Apocalypse Rising doesn't use FilteringEnabled, neither does Phantom Forces (evident from the way that server-sided code/descendants of ServerStorage were also leaked). |

1. Stop calling it hacking, it's exploiting. 2. Exploiting is the practice of modifying a client in order to manipulate game play. Such changes on the client without FilteringEnabled replicate to the server. FilteringEnabled prevents clients from propagating changes to the server; the server will not respond to client-propagated changes unless done through a listener (Client-Server Model reference). 3. I don't know what a "weak" and "strong" exploiter is, there's no difference. That's irrelevant. |

@colbert Okay, I've had enough. FE is not some sort of Messiah or god, that saves us from demon hackers. FE can be useful for many games but it cannot stop, like some person in the thread before me said, copiers from copying the game.
FE is a downright pain to use because of the studio UI. The explorer doesn't actually seperate "client" folders/objects from "server". We veteran scripters hate using FE because of the intense time it takes to integrate it. We would rather be already working on the run animation rather then the run script.
Sure, for small-time scripters its really useful. But for veteran, full-time scripters it's a real pain in out necks. FE is a simple mess of a dream that roblox has neglected to fix, just like the marketplace fee and "tickets".
The only real application that's "somewhat" useful is the lag reduction from using it.
Now, believe what you will. But FE is a lost dream. And BTW, you have not given me ACTUAL/PHYSICAL proof of the "front pagers" using FE.
