So far I have had one game that would be like one that is being made currently outside roblox. This one will be another game that is being made. If you have ever heard of subnautica, I want to make a roblox version of this but different twists. What you guys think?

That would be so hard, but you would get so much profit
I want to make a Universe Sandbox, but like Roblox Sandbox 2

I know it will be hard. I don't even know the basics of scripting, but I believe if I can do it. I will be learning LUA soon.

Wow, that's neat, Ey
Why not make a Ro-Universe Sandbox?
We could work together.
Have like Planets but different games instead.
And the sun be ROBLOX HQ

That sounds good, but I like to work alone. Although, i might make a development group. Working on a name for it. I believe I can make these games after a year of scripting learning. Welcome Neighbor will be first and my testing.

buddy scripting is not something you can learn just like that. even after months of learning you wont be familiar enough to make a functional game imo, let alone this nautica stuff. just a heads up

well what im saying is, it takes years of experience, not just in scripting, but game making. for example, lando64000 has been making games for like 5 years running, and his highest capability is shown in Pokemon Brick Bronze. scripters often need to be told what to do, they have the skill to script, but they dont know how to apply the knowledge into a game that people will love and enjoy. im not putting you down but this is just my pessimistic view haha, hope you succeed!

anyone thats skillful enough probably wont join you because you have nothing to show for yourself. you often do need a full team of people, all working individually on one aspect of a game, but make it all work together perfectly. for now you should probably learn how to script and make some mini project games, like puzzles and stuff. this will make you gain the experience you need to even attempt a massive scale project like that

I have another game that plans on being my test skill. It will be like hello neighbor. Again, my own twists and stuff. I will practice this before I launch this massive scale attack

youtube tutorials would probably be ur best shot, once you understand the basics, and by basics i mean functions and events, you can try to deconstruct simple freemodels and see how they work. or you can just continue with the youtube tutorials. im telling you now, it takes a lot of determination, even tho u wanna script today, you might not wanna in a few weeks time. if you stick to it for a few months you would be pretty decent. also hang around the scripting forum, ask for help or try to help others, that also gives you good experience and really gives you the scripters instinct on how to solve specific problems

Would this be too much for a 10th grader? I plan on being a game programmer.

im friends with game devs and im familiar with this sort of stuff. All this doesnt just apply to roblox, it applies to real world game making as well, so the two go hand in hand

in my opinion for a 10th grader, learning LUA is good experience for a future programmer, because all languages use the same commands and prinicples, just you type it in a different way. learning LUA early on FOR ME helped me when i went to university and learnt other languages like java and c++. overall it's a good investment of time. but just to let you know, popular game devs are ones who have been to college or university and decided to come back to roblox after acquiring their skills. they didnt just learn from youtube tutorials.

actually lua is complicated, pf had to take months and months of work to build because when you build really big projects like pf, and cor5, and other fps and rpg's its takes months of script. you have to know what you are doing. not as simple as you think

Should I try to get a lead scripter? This game plans on being big if it goes to plan. What are the key for a good team?
