instead of mindless and sometimes spoiled kids just flooding everywhere, can't we just mature them at an early age? i mean, we need to STOP those mainstream kid-friendly things. they are blinding children into thinking that some extremely false things are actually true, be it superheroes or santa.
instead of "kids shows," why can't we just teach them etiquette and style? won't it be better if we could treat every age similarly? think about it, children helping with business, non spoiled kids, no riddiculous kids stuff.
i personally think that children should no longer be happy as they think that life is THAT easy. what's the point in making them very happy now if they, like everyone else, would realise otherwise some time in the future?
if i was a parent, i'll raise my child with simple education at an early age, and teach him how to be an adult at the age of 12. that way, business would be a little bit easier.
to me, a utopia is a place where everyone does business properly. i want to see a child well dressed and alone at a bank to have a meeting with the manager about the relation between two banks.

| Because children aren't mature enough to handle adult concepts. That's proven. |

i know. i don't want them to learn things that are THAT complex. something as simple as withdrawing from a bank is fine enough to learn. and once they know the basics, we can send them to do the other harder stuff, then so on, until they're ready for a job at an office.
the only problem is the education. we need to find a way to make them learn alot in such a short time.

if you give a smart teen a computer and an internet connection, as well as a lot of books on logic reasoning and philosohpy,
if they are intelligent they will start to get more mature.
i recommend:
force them to watch 10 ltcorbis videos a day, as well as 10 numberphile videos
and alot of history and philosohpy videos,
as well make sure they watch most skeptic channels such as:
armoured skeptic and the rest.
and boom, more mature kids!

Hey this is how my mom raised me- Show told me everything so I was prepared for the real world and any situation that I came across. And it works. People shouldn't be treated like special snowflakes but with reality.
I support your endeavors.

we should also teach them how to start there own company, innovate and be able to go into any job they want at an early age.
i mean you would not believe what home schooling and online programming courses can do
sometimes they will learn it by them selves without you even asking or telling them about programming!

If you were to raise kids that way. Where is the joyful point in their life? Where is the excitement for young minds? Where is the curiosity if it is all known? Where is the childhood in general? What if they mis-use that information as they do not yet see the bright side of the world + their minds aren't tamed into modern society's standards. |

that sort of happiness is irrelevant. there's a difference between "OMG NEW EPISODE OF HANDY MANNY!!!" and "ugh finally, the audit is over."

"Where is the joyful point in their life?"
You're either depressed, or you aren't old enough yet to know that adults can have fun too.
"Where is the excitement for young minds?"
The only reason there is a difference in young minds aside from their knowledge is because we don't do what OP said.
Also, you're either depressed, or you aren't old enough yet to know that adults can have excitement too.
"Where is the curiosity if it is all known?"
How is curiosity a good thing?
"Where is the childhood in general?"
Probably at some point between 0 and 17, and if people raised their kids this way their childhood would be much better.

| I am not really a devils advocate or an angel really so I will stick with my balancing scales. First of all saying your gonna kilt someone is not a way to earn respect and is immature. Second of all there are plenty of shows that were so stupid that are for kids with lessons so mixed up and backwards that even I wouldn't want my kids to watch them if I ever had any. Teen Titans Go, Misadventures of Flapjack, Chowder, And now there are a few I didn't bother to remember but those were the most memorably stupid ones I could think of. Of course I also have to bring in the other spectrum now which is older shows that actually were intelligible and made it easier to teach kids life lessons while adults could have a good laugh at the subtle adult humor. As the kids got older they would slowly notice the adult jokes a bit more or they would not in fact notice them until someone actually told them when they were old enough. So, the shows made a pretty good test of innocence and you would be able to tell if they could understand it or not. This would also apply to movies. And now you have to deal with the internet where information is almost at literally every human beings fingertips if they can afford it. It is a lot harder now to just gently nudge the kids into the adult era than it used to be because of this very fact. |
