Well, my approach to your issue is quite abstract, but it should work.
Fly over to Anhui, China, and buy a pet squirrel. Go to the nearest store, and buy a radio.
Duct tape the radio on the squirrel.
Fly back home, and wait until your neighbor starts to play piano. Contact your squirrel in China, and have it magically teleport to you.
PLAY THE BANANA SONG.

Assuming that by midnight he means 12:00 AM, that would technically be considered day.
