What a disappointing season
They should call it the "Disappointment Bowl" because we're playing against the pinnacle of SEC disappointment, the Tennessee Volunteers
I won't be surprised if Nebraska finds a way to get blown out by 50 for the third damn time and our punter punts for -10 yards
Mike Riley seriously needs to go. Next year we'll go 8-4 at very best and then all the people that are backing Mike Riley for whatever reason will say "It's Pelini's players!!!!" And that will still be their excuse when there's literally only a few players that were recruited by Pelini left on the team

Sorry, but Nebraska will never be better than 8-4 or 9-3, maybe a 10-2 season every 5 years or so
Times change, Nebraska isn't a power anymore and only Saban/Meyer/Harbaugh could take you guys to a NY6 on a semi-consistent basis |

@Jimbo Not really true
when Bo Pelini was here he got us to either 9-4 or 10-4 every season which is pretty good so your 10 win statement is inaccurate
Mike Riley just sucks and we'll probably get Frost next who just took a UCF program from 0-12 to 6-6 and going to a bowl game in his 1st year and was the OC in a national championship game
Also you can see Oregon is horrible now and that partially has to do with Scott Frost leaving

"Nebraska is trash."
Nice you're pretty much stating the obvious and repeating exactly what I said but in the form of a sentence written by a 10 year old

you just validated his statement and then contradicted yourself by saying it was inaccurate

Um no? Bo Pelini pretty much got us a 10 win season every year or 9 wins and jimbo said Nebraska's only gonna get that every 5 years and go 8-4 the rest of the time

(HEY) (HEY) (HEY) A nebula rising above From the black of deceiving lies A new star is born now he brings you to light with his hands untied
They tried so hard to follow, but no-one cared Inside you're all so hollow, you understand
Hey, nothing you can say (say), nothing gonna change what you've done to me Now it's time to shine (shine), I'm gonna take what's mine While you're burning inside my light
I gave and you take And I waited for you but I made a mistake It's clear that you're fear is so near me because I see the look on your face
You tried to hold me under, I held my breath Alone and now you wonder, What I posses
Hey, nothing you can say (say), nothing's gonna change what you've done to me Now it's time to shine (shine), you're gonna burn in my light Hey, nothing you can say, nothing's gonna change what you've done to me Now it's time to shine, I'm gonna take what's mine While you're burning inside my light
Hey, (hey) nothing you can say, (hey) nothing's gonna change what you've done to me (hey) Now it's time to shine, I'm gonna take what's mine.... take what's mine
Hey, (hey) nothing you can say, (hey) nothing's gonna change what you've done to me (hey) Now it's time to shine, I'm gonna take what's mine
You're gonna burn in my light

I wouldn't say that 9-4 is garbage lol. btw it was 10-3 and it was only one season with bo pelini with us. should have been 11-2 with a win over #2 texas but we got cheated in 2009 (still salty)
anyway it's only riley's second year and he improved a lot everywhere. Defense improved massively aside from those 2 atrocious games dont know what happened there.
Next year defensively the only key players we lose are Banderas Rose-Ivey and Gerry which can be replaced by Lamar Jackson, Dedrick Young, and Marcus Newby/Mohammad Berry all proven players.
Offensively we bring in two great passing QB's to replace tommy bomb and amazing wr's to return not even worried about losing westercamp, moore, cotton and carter and rielly lol.
Riley's recruiting class is just starting to form and I have good expectations. We are expected this year to land the #2 WR in the class of 2017 in Joseph Lewis and the #1 Athlete in Greg Johnson. These commits will lead to a domino effect of players who were planning on following lewis and johnson from their team much like the calabasas movement.
We are predicted to have our first top-15 recruiting class in history and last year we had one of only like 5 top-25 recruiting classes. The only other teams in the B1G west that contend (iowa and wisconsin) recruit in the mid 40's every year.

Looking at the recruiting rankings now it baffles me that freaking South Carolina has a top 15 recruiting class but still goes 5-7 or 6-6 every year at best
