| I have recently dove into scripting, from the ground up. I am getting to the conclusion that after you learn the basics, that scripting is a lot of memorization of codes. like If I wanted my door to open with a click button, I'm going to have to memorize all of the scripts and steps to make that... If this is so, what is the best advice you can give me to help me remember specific codes? |

You should think logically rather than memorizing past actions

lol dont memorize specific code, that not how you learn. Just go with the flow. Once you get into it, you can just code without really thinking. Plus if you dont use variables, roblox helps you in studio.
#Code print(print(print(print(print(print(print()))))))) |

| Spiny is right lol, all I did when I first started off was experimenting. And then I soon grasped how stuff worked and I gained a lot of knowledge from that. |

Programming is a set of instructions. You don't need to memorize the instructions on how to start a car, you write them to guide the computer to it's goal.
>Grab Handle >Open door >get Key from left pocket ?put key into ignition >turn key -car started |

The only memorization for coding is the syntax and libraries. Scripting is mostly logic.
@j_Jal lol same |

| Programming is a lot of memorization in the start on Roblox generally because you don't have any context, but you get used to the patterns. Eventually you'll often guess the name of things correctly and not be phased, though there are obviously a lot of libraries and things that are very language-specific. But for things like, say, for loops, after you learn the ideas behind them it would only take a few seconds just looking at an example to learn their specific syntax in another language, and most languages have similar things because people want similar things so they design languages to be similar (generally) and port the same libraries over. |

First two posts are cringey.
Yes, scripting is a lot of memorization Scripting is also a lot of mathematics and logistics and semantics
But, I mean, that's kind of obvious, no? How would you survive in everyday life if you couldn't be bothered to do tasks that required memory and recollection?
That's kind of how humans function.
