Many people question if the Fort Shad add-on made by darkfires102 and I is lore-friendly. The main complaints are that Shad is underequipped and undermanned, so it would be impossible to add all of these rooms. This project, known as “intense firepower”, adds many things that would be useful to the USCPF ICly, such as more howitzers and a medbay. This essay will explain how the project is lore-friendly. On June 21st, 2115, an artillery exchange between the United States and PRT occurred, originally started by the MEB. The MEB started the attack in secret, which led the PRT to believe it was started by the US. This gave the Brazilians a reason to launch an offensive on the US. A few days after the 21st, a large fort west of Shad was taken by an overwhelming MEB force. This fort is most likely located in “Greenwich”, as the radio announcer states the MEB assembled a large force in Greenwich after the artillery exchange. It was one of the three fortresses the United States set up to defend its border with the PRT. The US border had been heavily weakened, and the government feared a second all-out invasion of the country, comparable to the Atlanta crisis 19 years prior. This could possibly mean a bloody end to the entire country. Congress scrambled to find a way to prevent this, but soon an idea came up. The US would put resources into heavily improving the two remaining border forts. Both forts would be armed with extra howitzers, tanks, more towers, stronger walls with barbed wire, and lastly, multiple add-on buildings that would ensure successful defense, such as armories and medical bays. The buildings destroyed at Shad during the exchange would also be repaired. In-game, these add-ons and repairs would be finished on June 30th. Now upgraded, the border forts would be able to put up a better fight against invasion.

| I don't think it would be possible to fortify Fort Shad this heavily, you have to Understand Fort Wilmington and Fort Shad are Border Forts meaning of course they are both the weakest and if MEB "supposedly" cut off forts "WEST" of Shad. That would mean they are just capturing PRT Territory, the Halfmoon Creek acts as a natural border line so why would USCPF be West? Also if you meant to say "EAST" then that would basically cut off acess to Fort Shad and the other unnamed fort. Making it nearly impossible to bring stuff down from stronger forts without alerting MEB. Also if MEB where to capture a Fort "East" of shad then a full on CDF offensive would have came and like Sunburn radio man says, they would have steamrolled the two Forts west of "Greenwich" since they would most likely be recovering. I will give the USCPF the given that they still have the U.S.S Winfall and it would make the CDF offensive really costly and would not be fast. Anyways my thoughts on the situation please respond I would love to see if we just werent matching thoughts. Cheers mate -Breazy. |

| ^ I'm fairly certain that there are no forts east of Shad, since I doubt the US saw it necessary to build forts underwater |
