It's clever but not scamming
Your fault for clicking the buy button |

it's an exploit and therefore against the rules
also if looks too good to be true, it usually is

Changing your item price is an exploit? Nah, it's using an official feature
The problem with trying to "fix" this is there's no way to differentiate between some kid wanting your money and someone who made a mistake or actually is changing the price
Then there's the issue of how they would regulate this, which is impossible
There shouldn't be a cooldown or anything incase you put a low price on accident, which is common and easy to do
They do alert you of the price changing and ask for confirmation, I don't know what else people expect |

The price-changing method is unintended and therefore an exploit.
Also what they can do is have it so there's a time period between putting the item on sale and updating the price.
So say you wanna sell something, you input the price, then 1 minute or so later, it's on. If you wanna change the price, then again, it'll be on, then you can only change the price every 5 minutes or so.
that would help combat a lot of it, while keeping the numbers reasonable for legitimate sellers.

| So, time to finalize the price before it's actually added to the page? Sounds fair |

of course, this will never happen, because competence on the part of the site engineers is basically null

as long as the official price is listed on the confirmation page I see no problem
the problem starts when people click the confirmation page and then the price is changed so you don't know how much youre actually buying it for |
