***Report of the 11/24/2016 battle***
Upon gathering members in preparation of the defense of our Head Quarters, we had a bit of a surprise to see so many of our opposing team. The sheer amount of numbers against us made it seem like we were at a huge disadvantage, yet in the end we prevailed a moralistic victory as the other team could not keep the terminal in their hand to the full twelve-hundred second (20 minute) extent. Raspy, the diligent and prominent leader that he his, managed to convince some people to even join our team for a little while. Nexus Dominion had more people, better communication, and even a strategy on where to place members, where to look out, etc. During the defense there had been a number of issues. As ShadokuSan has pointed out on multiple occasions, a character's limbs would fall off, the guns suddenly stopped working or freezing the player's arms in place, and at the end, even heads would pop off. There had even been some cases of spawn killing that had occurred, believing they could get away with this due to how many there were. Even if it is not a stated rule, it should be common knowledge that you should never SK (Spawn Kill) the other team.
Raspy, Struck, and Plunge made great efforts to keep Nexus Dominion in check by capturing the terminal, although there was a lack of communication among us. Wambly for the most part sat back and ate some popcorn for a while 😛 while Shad tried to do what he knew: Sword Rushing. Suffice to say *most* of the time it didn't end well. Nearing the end of the defense, the raider's leader stated that there had been some exploits occurring, so it was declared that the raid was nullified. Soon after he changed his mind and decided to count as a win for, and I quote, "we win because we were close to winning." In argument of this, 4 versus possibly 18 or so were not able to sustain the full 1,200 seconds. The server shut down and we decide to count that as a win for us due to this reason. Nobody(what-ever-his-numbers-are) will still claim that Nexus Dominion won without any substantial evidence that they prevailed. |
