noone can ever drink water lower than 32 degrees, because after that it's ice. you can ever swim in lower than 32 degrees water either because then it's going to be frozen.
maybe water freeze at 32 degree because if it's colder it will be to cold to drink?
I have had 2 glasses of milk today, and a total of 155 glasses of milk since this siggy was made. |

Average Kinetic Energy, or temperature, remains the same during a phase change of any substance. Therefore, when a liquid is freezing, and becoming a solid, the temperature plateaus until it reaches the potential energy that makes it a solid. Then, the average kinetic energy can continue to decrease.

Actually, mercury, a liquid at room temperature, has a freezing point of 234.3 K, meaning that it would in fact be a solid at 1 K.

you could drink 21 degree water when water reaches its frezzing point it doesn't instantly turn into a solid
