| Not really, for starters in the first few months the cities of Tarabya and Studius by the Ottomans as they got ready to attack Constantinople, which would lead to even more wars. Not to mention this was the year the Byzantine Empire collapsed, which ruined the lives of thousands of people. Not to mention the Korean rebellion later in October, which resulted in Korea's government being taken over. Only good thing about 1453 was that the actions in the last few months of it between France and Britain led to the Hundred Year's War eventually ending later next year. |

CORRECTION.
The only good thing about 1453 was Fall of Constantinople which allowed Islam, the one true religion to enter Europe. |

| @Doctor, Well, if you're Muslim then that could be seen as a good thing, and it did open new trade routes that led to the Age of Discovery. However, it wasn't really all that great for other religions that were in Europe. Overall I think it was kind of a bad thing since it made the Byzantine Empire collapse. Still, if it hadn't happened it might have been a few more years before anyone charted out the maritime trade routes, which would have meant the world would have gone even longer without having a good way to spread technology between empires/nations. It was a bad thing, however it was a necessary bad thing that led to good things. |
