How come we cut Cake ( easy to cut ) with a big and sharp knife, But we cut cheese ( Hard to cut ) with a small dull knife?

Using a dull knife doesn't make it easier, it makes you use more force which makes it more efficient. |

Using more force is literally the definition of inefficiency. A sharp knife would allow you to use less force to achieve the same amount of work as a dull knife would. A dull knife requires you to use more force to achieve the same amount of work as a sharp knife would.
