but i thought welds where for putting 2 parts together?

it can be used for this too, lerp and welds.
i dont know how exactly though, but I did fix a script like this for someone. |

Personally I use Motor6Ds.
local Motor = Instance.new('Motor6D', PART) Motor.Part0 = PART Motor.Part1 = PARTYOUWANTTOATTACH Motor.C0 = CFrame.new(0, -0.5, 0) * CFrame.Angles(math.rad(45), 0, 0)
This attaches 'PARTYOUWANTTOATTACH' to 'PART' at an offset of 0, -0.5, 0 studs rotated at 45, 0, 0.
