The legacy of the Rubber Ducky Squad began in 1771. Unlike today, The Lake was divided into three major nations states: The Mallard Republic, the Waddling Isles and the Quacking Federation. Through the years, a lack of resources within the Lake had quickly built tension between these superpowers.
Quackington III was a minor noble from the small county of Beak within the Waddling Isles. Alongside the lord of Beak, he devised a genius plan that aimed to unite the three major nations in mutual peace and prosperity. Word of his plan quickly reached the chief minister of the Waddling Isles. After much bartering and toil, the three superpowers eventually came to an agreement. This alliance would be known as the Rubber Ducky Alliance.
The Quacking Federation shared its agricultural techniques with the other nations, and thus the crisis of food shortages was quickly resolved. The technological advancements that were previously confided by the Mallard Republic allowed the three nations to work together to develop revolutionary travel and medical machineries. The Waddling Isles gifted the other states with extraordinary culture and ethos.
At last, all seemed well within the Lake. That was until the relatively unknown state of Waddleton within the Mallard Republic announced its supposed independence from the nation state. If Waddleton were to become a city state, many trade and travel networks would likely become disrupted. This disturbance would particularly affect the state of Wington within the Quacking Federation, which was reliant on this trade network to receive food and other critical supplies.
Tensions rose between the Mallard Republic and the Quacking Federation. Negotiations eventually broke down into shouting matches between state representatives. The Waddling Isles was once again stuck in the middle of the toiling nations. At this time, Quackington III had long since passed away. Instead, it was up to his successor, Quackington IX to solve this crisis.
Again, a member of the Quackington nobility had set out a genius plan to defuse this situation. Alas, upon presenting this plan to the chief minister of the Waddling Isles, he was laughed out of the court.
Instead, Quackington IX set out implement his plan himself. He established the secretive Rubber Ducky Squad. The Rubber Ducky Squad was a society of duckies who wished to uphold peace and lawful behaviour between the three superpowers and, by extensions, the Lake. By utilizing moles within the governmental systems, the Rubber Ducky Squad managed to neutralise the infamous Waddleton situation in just three weeks. In addition, trade routes that were previously considered implausible due to politics were established. The Rubber Ducky Squad worked secretively, benefiting the people whilst being unknown to society.
The Rubber Ducky Squad continues to work today, albeit in more subtle and indirect manners. As of today, the Rubber Ducky Squad has been an active society for over two hundred years. |

| A new face has joined the ranks of the Rubber Ducky Squad, JEBBUS. They have been promoted to a respectable rubber ducky due to their initiative. |
