I could not be more happy at the Warriors flopping. LOL if they don't win the ring Durant will go down as the biggest loser of all time

@pawl
he will actually go down in history as a player who went to the team that beat him

that's what everyone thinks of KD

Yeah KD's legacy is already in jeopardy because he did that, especially since the Warriors were already a championship caliber team. If they don't win this season, that will be such a black mark on Steph and especially KD's records

True. hes doing what lebron did lebron went to miami he knew miami was strong and he could win a ring. hes only trying to get a ring with the warriors thats why he signed a 2 year deal with warriors.

Lol, well it doesn't really matter what LeBron did, and then we all know what he did was way different. Obviously if the Warriors do anything but win this season it's going to be a huge failure, plus after this season they will have to make major cuts with Curry needing to be paid big money. This season is all or nothing, and I like how it's looking so far.

"lebron went to miami he knew miami was strong"

Miami wasn't strong actually, they were literally an average team when Lebron went there

and in KDs situation he went to an already stacked team that went 73-9

I know where youre getting at, but two totally different situations

amazing how everybody is on KD for joining the Warriors, but fail to realize people like Wilt, LeBron, Kareem, Shaq, Garnett, Drexler, and more did the exact same thing - join or request a trade to a championship winning/caliber team to win a ring (although Shaq's contract helped his choice a lot more)

nobody brings up how those superstar players did it, and i doubt it will be brought up in KD's case if he wins a ring (if he doesn't tho, THAT'S gonna hurt his legacy and that's what a lot of people will think of when you hear the name "Kevin Durant" - how he failed to win a ring when he left his old team).

"Miami wasn't strong actually, they were literally an average team when Lebron went there"

47 wins isn't "average" but ok, plus they signed Bosh the day before LeBron announced his decision

"and in KDs situation he went to an already stacked team that went 73-9"

kinda like how all the legends i mentioned above did what KD did

"I know where youre getting at, but two totally different situation"

not really, KD's team was good but they all did what KD did for the same reason

Ok, among the many differences, the biggest one is that KD won't go down as a very great player if he can only win a ring on a roster where he's not even the #1 player.

Garnett didn't really do that, since him and Allen were signed simultaneously (and I think Rondo did too but I'm unsure). Kind of like how LBJ and Bosh went 2 miami

"kinda like how all the legends i mentioned above did what KD did"

why mention KG, his team sucked the year before he joined the Celtics
plus Lebron joining the heat was more of a risk as wade and bosh ever played before

even KD mention how he liked the way gs was playing

"Garnett didn't really do that, since him and Allen were signed simultaneously (and I think Rondo did too but I'm unsure)"

Garnett got acquired a month after Allen got acquired, Rondo got drafted a year prior

"why mention KG, his team sucked the year before he joined the Celtics "

he still did what KD did, he wanted to go to a team that gave him a better chance at a ring

"plus Lebron joining the heat was more of a risk as wade and bosh ever played before"

how is it a risk when you have 2 of the best players in the league on one team. with that logic, KD joining the Warriors was a risk because he never played with them, and the Warriors have 7 new players on the team

"even KD mention how he liked the way gs was playing"

and? the players i listed above obviously liked the way the team they left to was playing too

Also why did you mention Kareem?

He arrived in 1975 and the lakers didn't win anything until Magic Johnson arrived in the 1979 season

His first year with lakers was 40-42

then you should've never mentioned Kareem lmao

the lakers were 30-52 the last year Kareem was on the Bucks. That doesn't look like they were playing to well with each other

oops, lakers actually went 47-35 but still

Kareem's last year with the Bucks he went 7 games in the finals

Kareem still didn't leave a championship team to go to a 47-35 team cause he liked the way the lakers were playing
It was obviously something else

..but the Bucks didn't even make the playoffs in his last year? he wanted to go to a team with a better chance at a championship and the Lakers were it

he was the modern day LeBron when it comes to leaving an old team for a team with a championship chance, there's a whole article about it lol

Then why would you list Kareem as someone who wanted to "join or request a trade to a championship winning/caliber team to win a ring" as you said in your previous post. As the lakers records show it was neither those two.

they were because Goodrich was a future hall of famer, Lucius Allen was a part of the Bucks team that went to a championship with Kareem (he was a good player and got traded with Kareem), Cazzie Russell was a good player and Donnie Freeman was a multiple time all star. clearly the first year didn't pan out the way he imagined, but the next year they were immediate contenders lol (with 2 of the above listed being on that team)

Lakers had a much better future (obviously) so he left the Bucks for the team with a good championship shot, which the Lakers evidently ended up having
