| If you want to learn something then go learn it and stop wasting time worrying about how the majority of people learn and how long it takes. It is easier than learning a foreign language and you can do that online or in school too. |

"how do I script easily" This isn't a useful question. Some things are harder than others to learn initially, but after you've successfully learned a technique and employed it multiple times, it becomes easier.
"How many days, months or years you learned how to script?" There is always something more to be learned. But to reach a point of "fluency", it depends on the following factors 1: How determined and motivated you are to learn more about scripting 2: How deliberately you practice 3: How you choose to spend your time learning
Use the Wiki to get started. Open up ROBLOX Studio and whip out a blank script. Start trying things, see what works and what doesn't. Use your creativity. |

| If you have no coding experience, learn python on codecademy it's quite similar. Try to create a decent text adventure maybe. Then follow along to some tutorials like roblox university. Finally just go set out to create something, with the wiki as your friend. As for time, with no experience, it could take you 6 months to be decent |

I figured out what scripting is by simply having a button in ROBLOX Studio that did something when being touched. I started analyzing how it works and figured there's some thing called "Script" inside that button. That bunch of salad written there I didn't understand at all (as my English was limited quite a lot too) so I pretty much learned both at once. Took me a few months to get along with it but I started expanding more and more. Now that ROBLOX wiki is present with so many examples and whatsoever, it's super easy to understand those scripts. In 2008, things were a little different. ^^ But yea basically, do some stuff and try figuring out what lines does what. Start out with a simple .Touched event on a brick or something like that. E.g. one that tries to kill you when you touch it. That should give you enough work to figure out how Lua works and how that salad of code works. :) |
