It would help if I got a little guidance cause I dont know how to script
I do not understand lua and or any other scripting language. I wanna make a pumpkin hunting game and need to know how to make a gui someone can open and when they do it shows the image of the pumkin in black then when they get the pumpkin and open the gui the pumpking gets colored to whatever color the pumpkin you got was, I want 30 pumpkins total and I already know what color and stuff I just need to know how to script these 30 pumpkins into a gui that shows you when you got a pumpkin. |

Devil. One of the main things you are already doing wrong is trying to learn for a specific thing. You are only going to learn what you need to accomplish that thing, but not anything else.
1. Do not have a goal in mind. If you set a goal, you will not try to expand to different areas, such as lerp, or CFrame. 2. The wiki ( wiki.roblox.com ) is the best possible place to start. It is basically a book, and it will teach you EVERYTHING, or just about everything, there is to know on how to script in Lua. 3. It is not LUA, it's Lua (for future reference) 4. YouTube is also a great help. I would recommend PeasFactory, or AlvinBloxx. 5. Don't try to remember what something does, try to understand how it works. That is what scripting, programming, coding, software developing (whichever one you like), is. Understanding HOW something works, not what it does. 6. In this forum, the #1 unofficial rule (unless it is official, IDK) is: DO NOT EVER ask for a script. If you politely ask for help on something, I can almost guarantee you, someone on here knows how to fix your code. 7. We need details when posting, don't just post the code and expect us to figure it out. 8. I got off topic with the last 2. 9. Actually follow along with the tutorial, actually write the code yourself along with the person, best way to learn. 10. (Off topic again) If you have a problem, search for the answer first, again, I can almost guarantee you someone else had/has the same problem 11. HAVE FUN. 12. My favorite # is 12, so why not make 12 points? |

"4. YouTube is also a great help. I would recommend PeasFactory, or AlvinBloxx." >AlvinBLOX
AlvinBLOX does basically what you said not to do.
"You are only going to learn what you need to accomplish that thing, but not anything else." |
