Pale was a simple man who liked good music and advanced literature and writing symphonies. One dawn morning in the day he was out painting the ocean that was visible outside his penthouse on the cliffs of Maine, when he heard the doorbell ring. |

Most of the indie rock I like is Midwest emo but here are some artists
Death Cab For Cutie: First three albums are emo, then Transatlanticism is just really sad indie rock. Plans is indie pop in the best way possible, Narrow Stairs is eh not must listening Codes And Keys though much less emotionally potent then the previous albums is a very catchy album one of the catchiest albums they ever made. Kintsugi is generic indie rock with a few good tunes.
American Football: They only have one album...and it's one of my favorite albums period if you like twinkly guitars and sad boys this album is for you...after 17 years there releasing an album this month and I heard it through a bootleg and it was...transcendent...so good.
Rilo Kiley: Just pick up any album and go, I don't listen too them a huge amount but aside from a cringes remix they never made anything seriously cringe worthy.
The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die: Who knew post-rock is what emo needed to prepress. Ya another great band please listen to Whenever, If Ever and just go from there. |
