Trying to move out of lua,java etc and start moving toward lower level programming languages

You should start with C. and before that you should atleast learn roblox lua and visual basic.

Thats good but a lot of these higher level languages can be much more difficult to learn.

they're not difficult to learn if you're dedicated
and suggesting other languages, c (also, why?) is a bad idea.

Because C++ is a more advanced C and the same with C#. If you want to make games later you should learn visual basic, lua , C, and C#

If you want to learn C# I suggest downloading visual studio.

Oh and also, Unity is an amazing game engine which uses C#. I learnt C# by making games in it and I suggest you give it a go.

always start coding in an engine because it will come with the compiler most of the time and also gives you a bunch of starting tools rather than having to make your own engines or plugins yourself by stealing libraries or starting from scratch. Unity supports C#
