Okay, getting really personal. I don't usually get personal anymore because, well, it's OT. I don't expect anything.
She's been really, really, really depressed lately. She even told my mother she wanted to commit the sudokucide-thingy-you-know-what-i-mean. On top of that, her boyfriend broke up with her lately, and well, that didn't go out too well.
Is there anything I can do to make my sister happy again, or at least to be able to get money to get one of our cars fixed? My sister is the only one with a job, because she has a car. My mother is unable to get a job because her car broke down and we're too poor to fix it. My father is deported in Mexico. And I'm too young to get money at all for anything.
tl;dr: how to make older sister not commit sudokucide-thingy-you-know-what-i-mean
p.s don't ban me m0ds pl0x |

"why can't your mom use your sister's car" my sister goes very early in the morning to work, and doesn't get back home till 12 PM. she goes to work at 5 AM.
"also idk what to do sorry" it's alright, i guess. |

first guy has no soul
Listen, @OP Me and my sister both have really bad depression. I can tell you now, you have to talk to her. Just give her a hello. If you know shes depressed, then give her a big hug and say "I'm here for you and I know you can get through this :D". If you have her #, txt her a lot more. Give her the company she needs to make up for her lost boyfriend.
If you're 14, you can get a work permit and get a job to assist your sister. Tell your sister that you are getting a job for the sole purpose of helping her out, and she will feel a lot more appreciated / important (which depression makes you think otherwise).
If anything, tell her to contact her closest friends and say she needs to talk with someone.
If you guys get enough money, you can take her to an inpatient care facility where they will treat her for depression. It's expensive though.
Hope this helps

yeah, you should contact a therapist so she can receive professional help and learn how to deal with her depression
if you don't have the money for it, check with your insurance provider that will cover 90% of the cost, or contact a federal agency that can give you financial aid <3 there is also a hotline you can contact for more professional advice so that you aren't dealing with 10 year old trolls on ot |

"Just give her a hello. If you know shes depressed, then give her a big hug and say "I'm here for you and I know you can get through this :D"." she has bad anxiety or, well, she doesn't really like people at all. she wouldn't want me barging into her room hugging her and all that sappy stuff.
"If you have her #, txt her a lot more. Give her the company she needs to make up for her lost boyfriend." she's in the other room. i can't do anything.
"If you're 14, you can get a work permit and get a job to assist your sister." i'm still too young
"If anything, tell her to contact her closest friends and say she needs to talk with someone." all her friends left her / i don't know any of her friends
"If you guys get enough money, you can take her to an inpatient care facility where they will treat her for depression. It's expensive though." nope too broke rip |

and also, the main issue I can see your sister dealing with is her job. Working those hours whilst having depression and single... that's a lot of stress to add on to the fire.
As I mentioned earlier, if you tell her you can work for her and help support her, then she will feel so much more relieved.
As for her boyfriend, you could be that alternative and give her the best of attention and care.
So essentially, you're helping her issues exponentially, even if it's just a little..

"let her suck on it"
what is it with these low-quality jokes
"yeah, you should contact a therapist so she can receive professional help and learn how to deal with her depression"
we can't though, we don't have a phone.

we don't have insurance. i'm too nervous to call a hotline, considering we don't have a phone and my mom is in the same room i'm in. |

| Hope your situation gets better. If you can afford it, a therapist will help. If you can't afford, just try to make her happy. Offer to play a game with her or do something with her. Make her favorite food for dinner or just something that will make her day. Don't let her lay in her room all day, encourage her to get out and do something. And, don't make fun of her. Her self esteem is probably not the best right now, so try to make her feel better. Hoping everything gets better with your family! |

didn't see your response.
Go into her room anyway , even if she does get anxiety/irritated. You're the closest one to her next to your parents, and it's a whole lot easier to talk to a sibling compared to a parent. Take my word for it.

from what i've observed late night ot usually gives the best advice and you'd get more people giving advice than just crapposting
so if you're going to ever make another thread like this again i'd suggest doing it at night

yeah, but she can't quit her job until christmas break, where her paycheck-ish-thing comes around.
"As I mentioned earlier, if you tell her you can work for her and help support her, then she will feel so much more relieved."
we can't do anything to help her we don't know what can do to help her i even thought of getting her her favorite food with what little change i had but then i realized that i didn't have enough money.
" As for her boyfriend, you could be that alternative and give her the best of attention and care.

3D_Printer, there's no other way to go about it then other than to go in there in a hostile manner and refuse to leave until you have a proper conversation .

"get her a new boyfriend" it's going to be a long time before she gets a new boyfriend. I think she's probably not going to try considering she just broke up with someone who she thought she'd marry and who would come over for Christmas. |
