character added should fire as soon as a new character is added
maybe try WaitForChild("Humanoid")? |

I just tried WaitForChild("HumanoidRootPart") still does not work. |

I know it must seem hard to use your brain to figure out why something isn't working but I promise it isn't.
The character might already have spawned before you connect the function to the event. |
