A BILL TO ESTABLISH THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTIONS
PREAMBLE: Whereas the creation of the Department of Elections establishes and easier gateway to hosting/managing elections and guidelines. The Department of Elections shall be established to actively host elections for the people of the State of Rockport.
Whereas the responsibility of the Department is to actively host elections, maintain guidelines, and strictly enforce them upon the candidates running for a Government position.
Therefore Be It Enacted
Section 1: The “Rockport Department of Elections” shall be created & held by the Owner of the State of Rockport or Governor of Rockport.
Section 2: The Director of Elections shall be the Chief Executive (Cabinet-level) of the Department on behalf of the Governor.
Section 3: The Department of shall be responsible for hosting, regulating, and enforcing elections, regulations, and rules respectively.
Section 4: The Department of Elections shall be in charge of maintaining a well organized trello in order to correctly manage the Department Regulations, when to host, and candidates who are/are not disqualified, etc.
Section 5: The Department of Elections shall work with the Speaker of the House, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor to recommend elections for their vacancies.
Section 6: The Speaker of the House, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor shall have authority within the department.
Section 7: The Director of Elections may be impeached from their position if they break the constitution, bill of rights, state laws, etc. They may also be removed by the Governor.
Section 8: The Office of the Deputy Director of Elections shall be established as a Department Director level position.
Section 9. The ranks for the group are as follows: ⇒ Owner ⇒ Rockport Governors ⇒ Director of Elections ⇒ Deputy Director of Elections ⇒ Rockport Speaker/Lieutenant Governor ⇒ Head of Regulations ⇒ Regulators Board ⇒ Moderators ⇒ Candidates ⇒ Election Sponsors ⇒ Rockport Citizens
Section 11: This legislation shall be overseen by the Office of the Governor.
Section 12: All Laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby null and void.
