(TL;DR WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST) So, for all of you that dont know, eczema makes your skin dry. and i mean REALLY dry. i have it very severe on me since i was born. it also makes you itchy to the point were you rip your skin and start bleeding. so everyday its just every 10 minutes or so i start itching on previous wounds and start bleeding. every night its such a PAIN to sleep. all my bed cloths are covered in blood (not entirely) including pillows. my itch attacks are usually around midnight or very early in the morning. life is so hard having this disease. i have countless numbers of creams that i apply but still dont heal me. and the bad thing is, there is no cure for it. everywhere i look on my body there is a wound. at school, people always ask me about it and sometimes make fun of me.
tl;dr: life is really bad with eczema |

| have you tried getting into the shower and then scrubbing your skin really hard ( to get the top layer of dead skin off) then applying thick lotion to the layer of skin that isn't dead |

see i know nothing about eczema but i'm just assuming if i had a dry patch of skin i would want to scrape it so i can get all the dead skin off and then once that dead skin layer is removed i can work on protecting the underlying layer of alive skin. does that make sense that probably doesn't apply at all to you since you have an actual disorder |

My friend has eczema, he says it's a pain... I already wince whenever cracks appear in my hand when it's dry, but that's fixable with a bit of lotion and a day or two...

| yes countless doctors. doctor after doctor after doctor. all giving me medicine that is useless is a month or so. im starting to get to the conclusion that my wounds are not curable, or atleast not curable by my prescripted medicines/creams |

I feel you not on the eczema part just on having a skin condition in general to embarsed to say what I have like 2 through
I changed my diet to help keep my skin problem at ease
And also only take semi cold showers because that's suppose to be better for your skin |

@nuke
how old are you exactly
i think the thing is if you're under 18 right now they are going to give you weaker medicine since you're still growing up like e.g. medicine that won't affect hormones and metabolic rates... because i'm sure hormones and all have a lot to do with the disorder so once you become an adult there will be WAYYYY more curing options for you |

i think once you get out of puberty it will even get a lot better on its own then a whole bunch of doors will open up to you like various new treatment options not to mention medical research will be further advanced about 10+ years from now you only have good to look up to, from what you're saying it really can't get much worse i hope it gets better for you man |
