"Because they have a life perhaps?"
Don't call yourself a """developer""" if youre too lazy to finish anything and then use the excuse "sorry i have a life lol" |

It's not an excuse.

It's a viable reason.

No no Im not saying that having a life is an excuse but what Im trying to say is that they LIE about it, they cant get a project done because theyre lazy and then they say "oh wow i have a life sorry about that loser" when in reality theyre on ROBLOX literally all day. Just look at Frigidsloth.
Literally stole Friendlybiscuits tech, never done anything noteworthy |

Oh ya sure, if someone pays you to dev and you know you're too lazy or busy than that's just being scummy.

Developers don't stop working due to "having a life". That is the biggest BS excuse ever and I'd know since I'm a developer. They stop working due to not having any drive to do it, they love the motivation quickly. It took me awhile to finally get to point where i could finish large and ambitious projects quickly without giving up on it.

Most of the good developers also have a life, such as higher education or an actual job.
You think 3D models, textures, and code happen in a day? Not even close. The amount of planning and time that goes into making a game is immense. That's before the actual assets have even been decided upon.
Let's put some things in perspective: One high quality gun model will take at least 4 hours on average, more if for a complicated design. That's only for the first iteration, that doesn't include modifications, rebuilding from scratch, etc.
I spend: 2 hours drawing weapon concepts, 4-8 building that concept, and another 6-8 hours refining that design. (None of my high quality work is actually publicly visible, it's all on private files and delivered externally.)
Clans use more than just one weapon model. Usually 4-8. So that's literally up to a straight week of work for weapon models alone.
Vehicles are extremely volitile, one mistake and the entire thing doesn't work, or explodes randomly. Not to mention they need to look good.
A fort map isn't just something that's built in a day. Now that we have team create, map building takes far less time, provided everything is planned out.
Coding: While the core code could be finished before the models are ready, bug fixing takes weeks to make sure it all works perfectly. Generally, fixing one bug reveals several more.
UI Design: often relies upon the core code, and is often not worked on until the code is ready.
New uniforms: You think they do that in 1-2 hours? Some uniform makers spend upwards of 20 hours or more on a single outfit. Let's not forget that they need need to make one for each division, and sometimes for every rank.
This is done on top of real life, by a team of people who need to communicate and work together. And you wonder why some dev teams take 1-2 years to release new tech? 1 year is the absolute minimum to make something half-decent that doesn't recycle anything. Not to mention, why would you release new tech every 4-6 months? That's a waste. Usually you upgrade when it becomes outdated.
Now of course, this excludes people who are just lazy or cancel a project halfway though.
Q. Do you know why you don't release a half-finished project? A. So you don't end up with another No Man's Sky.
Q. Why does RAT's dev team not publicize any information on their work? Do they even do anything? A. To prevent overhype, prevent people from getting angry over missing features, keep our innovation secret so no one takes our ideas and uses them before we release, etc. We're always thinking of new ideas and features we can add. Some we simply can't do yet due to limitations on the platform. Though our secrecy does make it seem like we don't do anything. |

I finish most projects I take up because I'm not dumb enough to take up massive projects I can't do lmao
That's why most c&g devs are bad they do projects that are out of their league |
